Easy Appetizer Drizzled with Honey
First, let’s get this out of the way… I might be THE only person out there that does not like many pumpkin recipes. {GASP!} Most of my family does like pumpkin though, so it’s a must have on Thanksgiving.
I wanted to create a pumpkin dip or appetizer that I would actually like to eat, as well as serving on Thanksgiving or for a party. I do like the sweetness that pumpkin adds to certain dishes like cheesecake or these amazing pumpkin spice latte cinnamon rolls. I just don’t like pumpkin dishes without cream cheese or a chocolate combination.
After I started brainstorming pumpkin recipe ideas, I thought about the two things I love best in this world right after chocolate… goat cheese and bacon!

After playing around with the taste, I came up with the perfect Thanksgiving or fall party appetizer that even those who hate pumpkin like me will love!

Easy Fall Appetizer
You can serve this simple Bacon Goat Cheese Pumpkin Dip alone, or make pretty bite sized appetizers drizzled with honey. This sweet and savory recipe is delicious any time of the year!

Years ago when I traveled to Sonoma for my birthday trip, I fell in love with goat cheese and apples on toasted bread drizzled with honey.
That is what made me think of creating bite sized appetizers instead of just serving this recipe as a dip.
What Crackers are Best for Pumpkin Dip?
Serve on toasted bread or crackers, but I really love the Stacy’s Simply Naked Bagel Chips, because they are very hard and it takes a long time for them to get soggy. So these appetizers still taste great after sitting out for 30 minutes or longer. Perfect for parties!

sounds so good! we love eating dip & appetizers over the weekend. it’s a nice break from the normal!
You can toss the apples in a little lemon juice to keep them from browning. I used the precut slices that were already coated with citrus juice.
How do you keep the apples from browning?
