But what exactly is hearts of palm? Hearts of palm is a vegetable harvested from the edible inner core of a palm tree. When this plant is cut and cooked in the proper way, it resembles regular pasta. You can add any sauce and the pasta will take on the flavor of the sauce.

Peanut Hearts of Palm Pasta – Healthy Stir Fry Recipe
Ingredients
- 12 oz. Hearts of Palm Linguine
- 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil
- 1 garlic clove crushed and diced
- 1 ½ tablespoons peanut butter
- 1 tablespoon Tamari sauce gluten-free soy sauce
- ⅛ teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon water
- ½ lime
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
- ⅛ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes optional
Instructions
- Rinse the Hearts of Palm Linguine with water and set aside.
- Heat the sesame oil in a pan over medium heat. Lower the heat and add the garlic. Cook for 10 seconds, stirring regularly.
- Add in the peanut butter, tamari sauce, smoked paprika, water, parsley and juice of half a lime to the pan. Stir to mix and cook on low heat for about 30 seconds.
- Add the hearts of palm linguine to the pan, toss to coat and cook for another 1-2 minutes. Place the lid on the pan. Turn off heat and let sit for 1 minute. Toss again to coat evenly. Cook longer if you want your linguine softer.
- Serve immediately. Top with fresh parsley, crushed red pepper and lime slices. Enjoy!
