How to Make a Mini Easter Basket Cookie Cake
Preheat and Prep: Preheat your oven according to the instructions on your chocolate chip cookie dough packaging. While the oven is warming up, line your mini baking cups on a baking sheet.
Cookie Dough Base: Take portions of the chocolate chip cookie dough and press them into the bottom of each baking cup, creating a solid base. Ensure the dough is evenly distributed for consistent baking.
Bake to Perfection: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake the cookie dough as directed. Keep a close eye on them to avoid over-baking. Allow the cookie bases to cool completely.
Green Frosting Fun: In a mixing bowl, prepare the buttercream frosting. Add a few drops of green food coloring to achieve a vibrant, Easter grass appropriate shade. Mix well and generously frost the cooled cookie bases, creating a smooth green canvas for your Easter baskets.
Easter Bunny Bliss: Unleash your creativity by crafting adorable shapes using TWIZZLERS Rainbow Twists as basket handles and Peeps Marshmallow Bunnies as the central bunny figure. Place these sweet bunny creations on top of the frosted cookie bases.
Bunny Butts Galore: For a whimsical touch, cut a Peeps bunny in half and add a mini marshmallow as bunny butt tails. Gently press it onto the frosting, creating a playful detail of a bunny burrowing into the cookie cake.
Candy Wonderland: Complete the Easter basket cookie cakes by decorating with Easter M&M’s, egg shaped candies or Jelly Beans. Scatter these colorful candies over the frosting to bring your mini Easter baskets to life.
Chill and Serve: Allow the cookie cakes to chill for a short while to let the frosting set. Once ready, serve these delightful treats to your guests and watch as the joy of Easter spreads with each scrumptious bite.
This Easter, elevate your dessert game with the Easter Basket Cookie Cake – a combination of simplicity, sweetness, and sheer cuteness.
