What Do You Need?
Here’s what you’ll need to make my leprechaun snack board.
Large Board or Serving Tray – If you don’t have a large board or flat serving dish, your kitchen countertop or table will work just fine. For a fun background option, cut a large piece of wrapping paper for the backdrop or use a light blue poster board that looks like blue sky.
Leprechaun Hat – Green M&M’s candy. I found a large bag of peanut m&m’s and picked out the green candy. Then I also mixed them with some Key Lime flavored m&m’s.
Leprechaun Hat Band – Slice a Dark Chocolate Hershey’s bar into long strips to make the hat band. Cut a sugar cookie to make the buckle.
Nose – A sugar cookie with the top cut off makes the Leprechaun’s nose.
Leprechaun Beard – Any type of cheese crackers or popcorn will work for the beard. I used Cheez-It crackers as they are extra bright orange.
Pot of Gold – Cut a Dark Chocolate Bar into the shape of a cauldron. Then caramel or cheese popcorn for the gold. Any kind of rainbow candy will work for the rainbow. I used Air Head Extremes bites for our rainbow and garnish.
How Can I Make This Snack Board with Fruit & Vegetables?
For a healthy version of this St. Patrick’s Day Charcuterie, you could use green and orange fruit or vegetables.
Want to save this for later?
For the Hat – Try Granny Smith apples, green grapes, kiwi fruit for the hat.
For the Leprechaun Beard – You could use orange slices or carrots for the leprechaun’s beard.
