If you are anything like my family, you are watching football! This is the only time of the year that my husband gets excited for a party. ha!
I was looking back at my Posh Football Party Printable Collection and realized I never shared the cute Football Cupcake Wrappers or how I made these creative football cupcakes.
This is a fun and easy way to turn store-bought cupcakes into something fancy!
These Free Printable Football Cupcake Wrappers are the perfect cake decorations for a Football Themed Birthday, Super Bowl or Fantasy Football Party.
What You’ll Need to Decorate Football Cupcakes
- Cupcakes – Find store-bought cupcakes or bake your own. You might love my Chocolate Frosting Recipe or Buttercream Frosting Recipe here.
- Wilton Color Mist – Pick your team’s colors.
- Homecoming Football Charms – I found these online and at my local craft store.
- Patterned Paper Straws – these are optional for adding a cute pattern to your cake decor.

Step 1 – Bake or Buy Cupcakes
We love colorful cupcakes, but sometimes I don’t like turning guests mouths red, blue or green as some colorful icing will do. When I want a touch of color on my white buttercream frosting, I just spray the top with Wilton Color Mist.
Our grocery store always has white vanilla cupcakes and it’s super easy to pick some up, then change the color later with the frosting mist.
