I went to a fun party this past weekend and when my friend began decorating her Strawberry Pie, I lost all focus and couldn’t wait to bite into it! Since it wasn’t time for dessert yet, I just took some photos and got her recipe to share with you today!
I didn’t bake anything special for the party, but I did buy a grocery store cookie cake and decorate it with my new Patriotic Party Printables! It turned out really cute and everyone thought I baked it. ha!
Since I left the cookie cake out on the counter, the kids devoured it before I could try it. Luckily the strawberry pie was hidden in the refrigerator and was waiting for the adults!
I will just say the pie didn’t last long at all. It was not only pretty, but delicious! When I found out how simple it was, I thought I would share the recipe.
For those of you who make strawberry pies, you have probably made this recipe before. I have never tried this glaze, but knowing how easy it is, I’m going to definitely try it next time.
- 1 Tub Marie’s Glaze for Strawberries
- 1-2 pints Sliced Fresh Strawberries
- Cool Whip
- Ready Made Pie Crust
Bake the pie crust and let cool. Mix glaze with the fresh strawberries, add to the pie shell. Chill for 2-4 hours. Generously add cool whip to chilled pie before serving. Decorate the top with left over strawberries.
What is your favorite easy dessert to take to a party?
