Fun Camp Care Package Ideas for Tweens & Teens
As the days get longer and the weather gets hotter, thoughts of summer camp inevitably start to creep in.
For parents of tweens and teens, that means wrestling with what to send your camper(s) with for those days away from home.
Here are some fun ideas I came up with for my son’s first summer camp away from home!
5 Days of Camp Gift Ideas
I hope you enjoy these creative camp care package ideas and free printable gift tags for your tween and teenage campers as much as we did!
Believe it or not, I shed no tears after dropping off my tween at camp. Although high school graduation and college did flash before my eyes.
What You’ll Need for Our Camp Care Packages
- Supplies (See lists below)
- Gallon Zipper Bags
- Sharpie – Write the day to open the gifts on each bag

Day 1 Camp Gift – Color Care Package
Colors make an easy theme for gifts. I chose blue, my son’s favorite color and filled the bag with a tiny pen, a small flashlight, swim goggles and a few blue snacks.
Day 2 Camp Gift – Hang in There
Day 3 Camp Gift – Be Nice Care Package
It’s always fun to share gifts with new friends. This day is filled with glow sticks, friendship bracelets and small party favor toys that can be shared with camp friends.
Day 4 Camp Gift – You’re Super!
This superhero themed gift was a big hit! Small games, toys and stickers with your camper’s favorite superhero is always fun.
Day 5 Camp Gift – Candy Care Package
Enjoy this treat because you’re sweet! Fill the bag with your tween and teen’s favorite candy. Make sure to pack candy that won’t melt.
What can you put in a camp care package besides food?
If you need some quick and easy ideas for what to put in your camp care package that is not food related, here are a few ideas.

I also put a Camper Questionnaire inside of the box with a self-addressed stamped envelope. Hopefully, your camper will fill it out and remember to mail it! You can download the free printable below.
Don’t forget to share with friends who might be attending camp with your child. I made sure to include copies for each friend along with several stamped envelopes.
