Rainbow Cupcakes
Somewhere over the rainbow… there is a cute rainbow cupcake! This is about the easiest recipe for rainbow cupcakes you could make. All you need to do is add frosting and rainbow candy to your cupcakes and you’ve got a colorful treat.
Whether you are throwing a Rainbow Birthday Party or looking for a fun treat for St. Patrick’s Day, these cupcakes are fun and easy to make!
What you need to make Rainbow Cupcakes:
- Your favorite cupcake recipe
- White icing
- Blue food coloring
- Rainbow colored gummy worms
Directions:
- After baking your cupcakes, let them cool.
- Add a few drops of food coloring to the white icing for the sky. Spread the icing on the cupcakes with a knife.
- Put some white icing into a ziplock bag and cut off the tip. Pipe a few dots of white on each side of the cupcake.
- Add your gummy worms into the top of the cupcakes. Make sure they are stuck in good.
- Once the rainbow is in place and secure, pipe more clouds on top so they look pretty.
This is also an easy baking project to do with kids. Gummy worms and icing make tasty rainbow cupcakes. At least my kids think so!

- 12 cupcakes
- 1 container of white frosting
- Blue food coloring
- Rainbow colored gummy worms

- Add a few drops of food coloring to three fourths of the white frosting for the sky. Spread the frosting on the cupcakes with a knife.
- Put the remaining white frosting into a ziplock bag and cut off the tip. Pipe a few dots of white on each side of the cupcake.
- Add your gummy worms into the top of the cupcakes. Make sure they are stuck in good.
- Once the rainbow is in place and secure, pipe more clouds on top so they look pretty.

these are really easy to make just go to the dollar store and pick up some sour gummy worms they really break up the sweet flavour from the cupcake and make it taste really good

The gummy candy you were looking for is called Airhead Extremes. You can find them at most gas stations. But the gummy worms definitely work. They look adorable!
