This is our week off from our normal challenge. This week it’s all about telling a story through photos and the theme is vacation. There are no judges and it’s all for fun!

I decided to show photos from my son’s first trip to Boston to visit my husband’s family. These are from 2004… way before I learned all my photography tricks from I Heart Faces. So it’s kind of fun to look at these and see how much I’ve improved!

I love this photo of Aunt Mary Ann, my husband, son and Nana (my mother-in-law). You can really see the family resemblance here!

Boston is so beautiful in the fall. We found a wonderful farm and took a look around.

I’m cracking up at the death grip we have on my son! Once he started walking, there was no stopping him! He is still like that to this day… very hard to get him to stand still for more than a minute for a photo. Argh!

Of course we had to visit all of his cousins!

Look at how cute I used to dress my one and only child! I made his Halloween shirt and jeans! Yeah, the second one is good to get a bow in her hair sometimes:-) Hee!

There was a lot of power struggles with these two! ha!

Here they are on our summer vacation together last year:-) Time sure does fly!

Before we left Nana helped him find the perfect leaf to take home to Texas.

I hope you enjoyed my trip back in time to Boston. Now I’m ready for another visit!

Come on over and share your vacation story with us!

Please visit I Heart Faces for weekly challenges, photo tips and tutorials.

Share the fun!

  3. Really beautiful pictures…your babies do grow up so fast…that’s why pictures are so important. My children are grown and they still don’t want their pictures taken, lol…

  4. I just love your comment about dressing the first child so cute and then the rest of the kids get left behind. I can’t tell you how many times I have been handing Jordyn off to the nursery workers at church and realize that I haven’t even brushed her hair. Poor girl! ? I really enjoyed reading about your vacation to Boston! Family trips are the best (and sometimes worst). ?
