It’s Living Creative Thursday where we share creative ideas, meet others in the blogging community and get inspired!

DIY Halloween costumes, recipes, decorations (like these easy glow in the dark eyes!) and party ideas are my favorite and I can’t wait for today’s “BEST of HALLOWEEN” theme. Share your fun creative ideas for Halloween and I’ll feature some here next week!

Because of Halloween next Thursday we’ll be taking off next week, but back in November with a “Best Recipes for Fall” theme.

Spooky Halloween Glow in the Dark Eyes Craft

I’ve been saving my toilet paper rolls and left over 80’s party glow in the dark bracelets to make tons of these eyes for Halloween night!! I plan to have my bushes full of spooky glowing eyes for the Trick or Treaters. It’s going to be SPOOKTACULAR!!!

What you need for this craft…

  • Several Empty Toilet Paper or Paper Towel Rolls
  • Glow Stick or Glow Bracelet
  • Duct Tape (optional)
  • Scissors or Exacto Blade

I tested this out with some scissors and simple slits for eyes, but you could do all kinds of eye shapes to give your glowing Halloween eyes some variety.

Place a glow stick into the toilet paper roll and tape it in place.

The glow sticks will shine through the sides, so you can cover the edges with duct tape if that bothers you. My bushes are thick enough that when I placed the eyes into them, nothing was glowing on the edges.

When we have no porch lights on a night… it really looks cool! You definitely need a BUNCH of eyes to give it that extra cool look. Start saving those paper rolls now for some spooky fun!
