I got to sort and wrap gifts for our Gifts of Grace – East Plano Toy Drive last night. I’m excited to announce the grand total of gifts was… 430!! Last we counted it was at 200, so what a blessing!

Thanks to everyone who bought toys!! I’m so very proud to be a part of this.

We did a LOT of wrapping!

I did a lot of eating these! YUM!

Thank you MOPS girls, Kimberly, Kerri, Joana and Christy for helping sort and wrap! Kimberly and I sorted and bagged the gifts until midnight!! There are a LOT of gifts that need to be delivered this Saturday. Anyone reading this from our church that wants to help, please contact me. We need you!!

Another big thanks goes to KayVonne who wrapped a ton of gifts! KayVonne and I met through our blogs, then a few weeks ago we finally met in real life! That was so much fun. We hugged and laughed and hugged some more. I remembered to get a picture this time!

If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, KayVonne was one of the BIG 80’s hair winners. ha! (speaking of that… I still have your Starbucks card! I should have given it to you last night! arg:-) Oh, well… we can just go to dinner for your birthday instead. Much more fun right?

Again, thanks to everyone who participated in this event. Dot, Angie and Heather… thanks for sending toys! You are all awesome.

The winner of my personalized wall art giveaway was Sylvia!!

Sylvia doesn’t have a blog, but I can tell you… she is ULTRA excited to make something personalized for her husband’s office. I’m excited too Sylvia!

Have a super Friday:-)

Share the fun!

Okay, everyone, I got those candy cane Oreos at…wait for it…Wal-Mart! ๐Ÿ™‚ I haven’t seen them anywhere else, which is probably a good thing. Thanks for helping me eat them last night girls!

  5. Carrie,

My friend Kimberly brought those cookies. I’ll have her tell everyone where to get them! They are really good.

And yes, Tidymom… I think I ate half the bag! Yikes!

Great Pics! You look great; glad you got to meet a blogger buddy!
I bet there are gonna be some happy kiddos out there. It’s heartwarming and gives ya that good all over fuzzy feeling, isn’t it? To be able to do for others.
This year Mike and I decided to do Christmas for a family instead of buying for each other. Got in touch with the school nurse to keep her ears open…(a great place to find a family in need), and lo and behold we are buying for a family of SEVEN!!! It will be fun. They have a wish list which makes it easier to buy for each one. Four boys, which includes a set of twins, and the baby is a girl.
I hope you have a great weekend; we are supposed to have some warmer weather! I will welcome that for sure!

    Your Texas Buddy, RA

  7. WOW that’s a LOT of wrapping!! I can imagine how good you felt doing it though!

I keep seeing those Oreo’s and passing them up, because I don’t think I could eat just one or two! LOL

P.S. I don’t think we have those candy-cane Oreos here. This is the first time I’ve seen them, anyway. Yum! Got to get me some. ๐Ÿ™‚
