I’m enjoying making DIY face masks at home to help my skin look brighter and healthier. Enjoy this easy Honey Avocado Face Mask recipe! Last week, we shared 5 Simple Homemade Honey Face Masks and now I love adding avocados to my masks!

Avocados are a fantastic fruit. Some even refer to it as the “super food”. Avocados have huge health benefits due to being loaded with vitamins and other nutrients.

What Does Avocado Do to Your Face?

As great as they are to eat, they are also amazing for your skin. You can use them to make wonderful masks that will leave your face feeling soft and hydrated.

Avocados are a great antioxidant and loaded with vitamins C and E which are great for your skin. The fatty acid in them make a great moisturizer. Avocados have also been known to reduce redness and irritation as well as damaged skin cells.

 

What Does Honey Do to Your Face?

Honey draws moisture into the skin and is a natural hydrating boost for dry skin. Honey also has natural antibacterial properties, making it good for acne-prone skin.

How Often Should You Use an Avocado Face Mask?

You can use this homemade mask recipe 1-3 times per week. Use on your face in the morning or night, either option is up to you and your schedule.

Avocado could clog pores, but is wonderful hydration for your skin. Avocado oil can diminish pore size and remove impurities from the skin.

So whip up a DIY mask using avocados the next time you really want to pamper yourself. You will not be disappointed!

What do You need to make This Face Mask?

All you need to make this easy face mask are a few ingredients you probably already have in your pantry.

What you’ll need:

  • honey
  • coconut oil
  • avocado
  • rose essential oil (This is Optional- I use these pure therapeutic essential oils here)

I also love using Frankincense essential oil which came with my Young Living Premium Starter Kit. It helps reduce dark age/sun spots on skin. Any reason I can find to get rid of those yucky sun spots… I’m doing it!

Supplies

  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil
  • ¼ ripe avocado
  • 2 drops rose essential oil (optional)

Instructions

  • In a bowl, mash the avocado then add all other ingredients and mix well.

  • Smooth the mask over your face and neck.

  • Leave on your face for 15 minutes, the wash off with warm water.
