It’s time to think about back to school, and this year I vow to keep up with the papers and kid’s activities!
It’s always a struggle for me to keep up with it all, so this year I’m going to make it easy for my kids to help me out!
With the help of the Post-It Study collection and a few items that I already had in my home, I was able to turn what was once an area where I hung my purses, to an organized After School Station for the kids!
I love all of the new items from the Post-it Study collection! They have fun new sizes, Post-it Study Attach and Go Pockets, Post-it Study Writable Flags, Post-It Study Notes and more that work great for back to school! I decided to use them for my After School Station and on a Weekly Calendar that the kids can update themselves when I forget!
I designed a fun weekly calendar for each child and placed them in a frame. Then used clear plastic cups to hold dry erase markers and Post-It Study products to update the calendars each week with the latest activities.
You can write on the glass and easily erase to start over each week. The Post-It Writable Flags are perfect for reminding everyone of what is the most important!
Plus, it’s fun for the kids to do as my daughter LOVES to stick anything!
Along with the new weekly calendar, I made each kid an in and out basket.
Now when they get home from school, they are to hang up their backpacks, take out papers I need to see, and put into the “in” box. I will then look at them and put what needs to go back into their folders for school in the “out” box. It’s the kid’s responsibility to pack up their backpacks.
If I forget to check out their in box, they can grab a Post-It Full Adhesive Note and write me a reminder!
Note: I used hanging containers that I found at Ikea a few years ago. If you can’t find them, a wall magazine rack would work great for papers. I stuck the frame and cups to the wall with these damage-free Picture Hanging Strips.
