Fun Bug Dessert Round-Up

Now that it is summer here in Arkansas, the bugs, snakes, and other creepy critters have taken over… and I want to cry.

But they say that if you can’t beat ’em, join ’em. So…here are some super cute treats that just may make these annoying creatures bearable.

These Hungry Caterpillar favors from Super Mom Moments are just too cute!!  She threw a Hungry Caterpillar baby shower and has a whole post full of adorable ideas. And I got to thinking, how cute would these be with paper wings attached? Butterflies!!

 

Could these cookies from Bridget at Bake at 350 BEE any cuter? (Don’t act like that wasn’t a good joke). I love everything Bridget makes, but these bees are one of my favorite creations of hers.

 

 

I am not a fan of snakes. And by not a fan, I mean that I saw one outside once and I ran inside and didn’t go back out for like a week. But I DO adore cupcakes, and I LOVE these toppers that Shelly from Cookies and Cups made. She used fondant, but how easy would it be to use green Laffy Taffy instead?

 

Ladybugs are my absolute favorite bug. And these cupcakes from Amanda at I Am Baker are just adorable.  And I LOVE how easy and inexpensive they are to make!!

 

My son loves to eat apples, and I know he would love one of these “apple frogs” from Family Fun.  Such a cute idea, and they look really simple to do…perfect for an “I’m bored, I’m hungry” Summer afternoon snack.

Summer is the perfect time for hiding inside in the air conditioning and creating cute treats.
