Disney Jollywood Nights at Walt Disney World Review

My family attended Disney Jollywood Nights for the first time, and it was such a fun experience! As of 2024, the event is in its second year, offering guests a festive and glamorous holiday celebration inspired by the golden age of Hollywood.

From the moment we entered Hollywood Studios, the festive atmosphere, incredible entertainment, and short attraction lines made it a night to remember. Here’s our full review of this event!

Event Timing and Park Entry

The event officially begins at 7:30 PM and runs until 12:30 AM, but guests with event tickets can enter Hollywood Studios as early as 6:00 PM.

This extra time allows you to enjoy even more of the park before the festivities officially start. You will have plenty of time to take photos at the fun photo areas (Disney photos are included in the ticket price), ride an attraction or watch the Fantasmic show and fireworks at 6:30 before the event begins.

Pricing

Tickets for Disney Jollywood Nights are priced between $159 and $179 per person, plus tax, depending on the event date. Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members can save $10 per ticket for all event nights.

Attractions and Wait Times

One of the highlights of the evening was the impressively short wait times for most attractions. Seeing Toy Story Land practically empty felt surreal! We walked on Toy Story Mania with no wait.

Even the more popular rides had minimal waits, with most falling between 5-15 minutes. The longest line was for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, with wait times hovering between 30-60 minutes—still far shorter than during regular park hours.

Entertainment Highlights

There are a variety of shows going on during this special event, but the standout show was undoubtedly Disney Holidays: Hosted by Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy. With two showtimes at 8:15 PM and 9:15 PM, this charming performance is an absolute must-see.

The holiday light show, Sunset Seasons Greetings, on the Tower of Terror added a festive touch with its stunning lights, music, and even snow, immersing everyone in holiday cheer.

Specialty Drinks and Snacks

Disney Jollywood Nights at Hollywood Studios offers a variety of festive treats that have become favorites among guests. Here are some of the most popular ones:

Mistletoe Martini
A festive cocktail featuring Tito’s Handmade Vodka and St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur mixed with cranberry juice, garnished with fresh cranberries and mint leaves.

Holiday Turkey Popover
Roasted turkey and creamy mashed potatoes topped with gravy and cranberry chutney, all nestled in a house-made popover.

PB&J Doughnut
A half-glazed doughnut filled with creamy peanut butter and grape jelly, dipped in dark chocolate, and served with house-made salt and vinegar chips.

Kermit’s Frozen Banana Shake
A non-alcoholic blend of frozen banana and white chocolate with caramel swirls, topped with matcha whipped cream and sprinkles.

Annual Passholder Exclusives
For Annual Passholders, the two exclusive drinks were a big hit, especially the Frozen Espresso Martini. It was deliciously rich with chocolate rum and a standout among the specialty options.

While treats and drinks are not included in the event, you’ll get complimentary flavored marshmallows in a Disney-themed box handed out when you exit the park. For the price of this ticket, we would have preferred some complimentary snacks during the event.

Fireworks & Light Show

The Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! fireworks and light show is an absolute must-see! The 10 PM spectacular combines fireworks, vibrant projections, and festive music, creating a fully immersive experience that celebrates the magic of Christmas.

We were blown away by the sheer volume of fireworks—it felt like they were lighting up the entire park! What’s even better is that it wasn’t crowded, making it easy to find a great spot to enjoy the show.

Best View for Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM: While you can experience the fireworks from almost anywhere in the park, the best view is from Hollywood Boulevard, right in front of the Chinese Theater. From there, you’ll have the perfect vantage point to see the synchronized projections and fireworks come together in a breathtaking holiday extravaganza.

Overall Impression

Disney Jollywood Nights is perfect for fans of Hollywood Studios and those looking for a more adult-oriented holiday celebration. The blend of entertainment, festive drinks, and minimal attraction wait times makes it a one-of-a-kind experience.

That said, if I could only attend one Disney holiday event, I’d lean toward Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party due to my preference for Magic Kingdom’s attractions and charm. However, for Hollywood Studios enthusiasts, this event is an absolute treat!
