A fun Easter treat means something sweet embellished with something even sweeter.  In my new book Flea Market Finds with Matthew Mead we share a wonderfully easy vintage Easter celebration but I wanted to team with Amy to bring you one more great idea.

Our Easter marshmallow pops are made from Jet Puffed marshmallow eggs available at grocery stores.  With some royal icing, lollipop sticks and some downloadable tags from Amy you can make these special treats for Easter baskets, party favors or the group of kids in your child’s youth group.

Make it a family event and have an Egg pop decorating party with ribbons, silk flowers and icing flowers from your local cake decorating supply store.

Here is what you”ll need:

  • Jet Puffed marshmallows
  • Royal icing
  • lollipop sticks
  • icing flowers
  • pastry bags and tips
  • ribbon
  • vintage flowers
  • Easter Tags from Living Locurto
  • paper punch
  • string
  • cellophane bags

On a clean work area arrange all of your supplies.  Begin by placing lollipop stick into the wide end of the egg.  Use royal icing in an array of spring colors to decorate the surface of the egg Easter designs.  Or use a dot of royal icing to glue on pre-made icing flowers.  Let egg decorations dry completely overnight.

  1. How cute are those Easter pops? My kids would absolutely love them.

  2. Someone above said they couldn’t “find them”. Is it safe to now assume that there are flat marshmallow egg shapes in packages to be found at some stores?

  3. Amy or Anyone – do you push the marshmallow to shape or have they come out with egg shaped marshmallows? Thanks.

  4. They look adorable. I have a couple of questions, first when you said to let it dry overnight, do you need to let them dry in a container or just free, and then with how much time you can prepare them ahead, one week, two weeks….Thanks….they are really cute!

  5. These are SO PRETTY!

  6. Oh my gosh these are adorable, thank you for the tutorial
