Unicorn Cotton Candy Party Favors
In partnership with Nickelodeon
If you haven’t seen Nella the Princess Knight yet on Nickelodeon, then it’s a must watch! It’s royally awesome and what inspired these adorable Unicorn Cotton Candy Party Favors, an easy craft perfect for a birthday party or making for friends. Nella is a princess who possesses royal qualities of grace and compassion, while is full of the courage and determination of a brave knight.
I love how Nella is more than a princess, and more than a knight. She’s the princess-knight! I also love how she rides a talking unicorn and fights for justice on every adventure. A hero unlike any other, she stays true to herself through determination, power, and courage.
One of our favorite characters is Trinket, Nella’s talking unicorn and best friend who loves fashion. She is one stylish unicorn who is supportive and encouraging of her friends, and will be serious if the situation calls for it, in order to help Nella solve problems.
Making unicorn cotton candy party favors that look like Trinket will no doubt be a hit at any party! If you host a Nella the Princess Knight party, be sure to download and print the tags I designed for gift tags or party table decor.
Strong, Smart and Full of Heart
I love how this show encourages kids to be strong smart and full of heart. We really need more shows like this! I’ve been traveling a lot the past week with my daughter for her competitive cheer competitions and always amazed by her courage and heart.
She wows me everyday and after making these unicorn party favors with her, we took some photos which made me laugh so hard!! I tried to get her to be serious, but that wasn’t going to happen. She loves to make people laugh and her silly posing eventually got us both laughing so hard that I finally gave up trying. ha!

How to make Unicorn Cotton Candy Party Favors

What you’ll need to make unicorn cotton candy party favors:
- White paper cups
- Pink Marabou feather boa
- Pink and blue swirl cotton candy
- Frosting bags
- Tape or Glue Dots
- Scissors
- Black Sharpie Marker
- Pink Crayon or Marker
- White Card Stock
- Small flower embellishments (Trinket wears a turquoise flower)
Step 1: Place the cotton candy into a frosting bag, twist and seal with tape.
Step 2: Cut unicorn ears about 1.5 inches high out of white card stock.
Step 3: Trim the pink boa into 3-4 inch pieces. This might be very messy depending on your brand of boa! I found one at a craft store for a few dollars, but it made a mess after cutting. I suggest cutting over a trash can.
Step 4: Punch a hole into the bottom of a cup, pull the end of the frosting bag through the hole then do the same with the piece of pink boa.
Step 5: With a glue dot or tape, attach the ears and a flower.
Step 6: Draw eyes with the sharpie and pink dots for the nose onto the cup.
Step 7: Print the Nella the Princess Knight tags for gifts or party table decor.
