How to make a fun Parrot Fruit Snack for kids!

Today, we’re making a healthy fruit snack for kids that looks just like a parrot! I love coming up with fun food and party ideas for the latest movies, so was thrilled when the folks from The Wild Life asked me to create something cute for the new animated movie in theaters September 9th.

On a tiny exotic island, an outgoing parrot and his quirky animal companions befriend a marooned Robinson Crusoe. When their harmonious lives are disrupted by two savage cats, they discover the true power of friendship against all odds.

Red is my favorite color, so of course the Parrot named Mak caught my eye. Plus, he looked like a funny character… so a parrot treat it is! This parrot fun food idea would be the perfect healthy treat for an after school snack.

Wouldn’t your kids be excited to find this waiting for them when they got home from school? I know I would! It’s really easy to make and would also be adorable for The Wild Life themed birthday party table.

  • 3-4 strawberries

After cutting the apple, slice a beak from the mango along with a curved section for the wing. Slice some strawberries for the head, feet and tail feathers.

Start placing everything on a plate. Decorate his tail however you like! If you don’t have banana chips for the eye, you could use an apple.
