How to Grill Frozen Pizza
Have you ever grilled frozen pizza? I tried it this weekend and so happy with the results!
I’ve been thrilled about working with , because I absolutely love their pizza, plus it’s a perfect quick dinner for busy nights.
With the fantastic weather lately, we are often outside and not using the oven as much. I wanted to cook something quick on the grill, but didn’t want to do much food shopping or prepping. Here is where Ristorante saved the evening! I just had to pull out a few boxes from my freezer and fired up the grill.
I figured cooking the pizza on the grill would be similar to the oven, so I tried it. Not only was it super easy, but also some of the best pizza I have eaten in a while! Grilling pizza gives the crust a nice smokey… almost wood burning oven flavor. Yum!
Directions for Grilled Pizza:
Pre-heat your grill to around 400° or until it’s really hot.
If using a gas grill, turn the fire to low. You don’t want flames directly on the bread.
Place the frozen pizza directly on the grill and shut the grill top.
Let the pizza cook for about 12-15 minutes then check on it. The thinner the crust the better. Ristorante is perfect for the grill because of the thin crust!
After the pizza is cooked all over and crunchy on the bottom, remove from the grill and place on a baking sheet to slice.
The crust should be a little charred, which means it will be extra tasty!! I personally liked the blackened crust the best. My kids who usually don’t like anything burned, loved it as well.
When hosting a large outdoor party, grilling some frozen pizzas would be so much fun to add to the menu! With no prepping and no mess, it’s a great addition.

For this pizza, it works perfect directly on the grill. I haven’t tried it another way, but I’m sure you could try it on a pan. Thanks!

I love the idea of pizza on the grill. Me and my daughter have been talkng about that for awhile. We dont like thin crust pizza, we usually eat rising crust pizza. Could it be put on a pizza pan and put on the grill. How long do you think it would take to cook it thru. I want to try it, but I am afraid of burning the pizza. Any help you can give me I would really appreciate. Thank you for your time.
Thanks so much Amy!
Looks amazing! Sharing on fb today!
