I don’t know why, but every summer I get inspired to bake. Even though it’s practically 200 degrees here in Texas, I still love turning on my oven and making treats. This year, it’s all about the cake!

My son and I just had a date night where we ate the most delicious chocolate and strawberry cake at the Cake Bar for dinner in Trinity Groves in Dallas. Yep… it’s dessert is first when you go out with mom!
