We spent a lot of time drawing with markers this weekend, but what we should have been doing was doodling on desserts! I love my edible marker food decorating pens. If you don’t have any yet, I highly recommend this brand.
You can draw on marshmallows, cookies, cakes and cake pops. The ideas are endless! Here are some fun and inpsiring ideas for using edible markers.
Rosie from Sweetapolia made an amazing rainbow cake and let her daughter decorate it with doodles. I am amazed by the artwork of her 4 year old! An artist in the making for sure:-)
I had fun drawing faces on these Lego cake and marshmallow pops and Marshmallow Chicks.
Bridget from Bake at 350 made cookies and her son drew sweet thank you notes for his teachers.
What have you doodled with your edible markers?
can you use edible markers to trace a coloring page then transfer to fondant, creating lines to cut shapes out of the fondant?
This is so cute. Perfect for your kid bday party
I really want to thank you b/c this doodle dessert made my niece’s birthsay cake the best ever. Thank you!

I don’t know where I have been…I have never heard of edible markers! My boys would love those. Will have to check them out!
My daughter used a book pan and fondant to create an edible guest book for her 8th grade graduation reception.

That cake is AMAZING!!!
And thanks for linking up the cookies! Those brought back memories!
That doodle cake has to be by far the best decorated cake you could get. How meaningful! I love it.
How accidental can it be for someone like me to read this post? I can’t believe I’m saying this but the pics are so cute! Sweet!
I didn’t know they made such a thing! Thanks for the link. I am going to buy some. My daughter will love this. I think the cookies will make neat valentines for next year.
From when my 12 year old was little- I always had Edible Markers…now my six and two year olds just love to “decorate” their snacks and lunches.
From coloring sandwich cut outs, making marshmallow people and villages, to making faces on their fruit and such. Edible markers are the best to make a child’s imagination soar!
Life is truly “more colorful & fun” with edible markers!
These are SO CUTE! I love them all especially the cookies. The cake pops make me smile. They look like we should call them the Fab 5 Lego Heros. *chuckles*
