When I found these hilarious zombie cups over at Oriental Trading, I knew I had to make a recipe using them as a prop. I immediately was reminded of the Brain Cupcakes in a Jar that become such a popular Halloween party recipe here years ago. Adding a bloody brain spilling out of the zombie’s head was a no brainer dessert idea!
Bug Infested Brain Cupcakes Recipe
When my kids came home from school and saw these brain cupcakes, they LOVED them! I think the key to an amazing Halloween party is the food table. I’ve done cute halloween recipes such as Halloween crack and creepy edible fingers, but I think the yuckier looking ideas are always the most popular with party guests!
If you look closely to my photos, you’ll see roaches, blood clots (actually very tasty gummy candy), flies and ants.
I think the tiny ants are my favorite bugs for the brain cupcakes. I get creeped out just looking at them. ha!
Once you make the brain cupcakes recipe, adding them to these fun zombie cups makes the best Halloween party table look even better!
