How to Give Cash the Fun Way!
Looking for a fun, stress-free DIY gift? Making money balloons are a creative way to give cash or gift cards for any age. Perfect for your next big celebration!
This is such a fun way of giving cash money! Cash is an easy gift when you are short on time. I wanted to make a surprise gift for my son’s birthday, but with only 45 minutes to spare until he got home from school, my options were limited. I meant to plan ahead, but with Christmas, family being sick, and working, the birthday gift surprise was last on my list.
When my son Jack turned 12, he wanted cash to save up for an XBox. Putting some cash in an envelope would have made him happy, but wouldn’t be a very exciting birthday surprise for a kid!
Here’s a fun way I gave him some birthday money! I did this in less than 40 minutes with one trip to the grocery store.
Easy Birthday Gift – DIY Money Balloons
We got 12 birthday balloons and each one has a one dollar bill attached! I was so proud that I was able to pull this gift off in time.
This money balloon idea is a perfect way to give birthday cash or gift cards to anyone at any age!

My Son Loved His Birthday Money Balloons!
We had a new bike hidden away, so along with cleaning the room, I even had time to get the new bike into his room.
He walked in 2 minutes after I was done setting this up. Whew, I barely made it in time!

This gift idea was a huge hit! He even noticed that I had cleaned his room and said THANK YOU just for doing that. Love that kid!! I’m glad he appreciates a clean room – since that doesn’t happen very often at our house. ha!
Guess who else loved the dangling balloon ribbon and dollar bills? Yes, our new kitty Apollo was in heaven. If you ever want to entertain a kitten, put him on a bed with balloon ribbons everywhere. ha!
