When is Descendants 3 Coming Out?
Ahead of the third Disney Channel Original Movie, premiering August 2, 2019, Escape from the Isle of the Lost, continues the adventures of everyone’s favorite villain kids, Mal, Evie, Jay, and Carlos.
This book will provide a much anticipated backstory to the new storyline, as well as picking up where the Descendants 2 movie leaves off. It’s written by Melissa de la Cruz, the best-selling author of many novels, including the Blue Bloods series and the Witches of East End.
What is the order of the Descendants books?
Didn’t know the movies were created from books? Start reading from the beginning to get caught up before the new movie comes out! All three novels in the Descendants series have become instant New York Times best sellers, with Isle of the Lost and Return to the Isle of the Lost hitting the number one spot.
Here are the four Descendants books in order:
- The Isle of the Lost
- Return to the Isle of the Lost
- Rise of the Isle of the Lost
- Escape from the Isle of the Lost
Escape from the Isle of the Lost Summary
Mal, Evie, Jay, and Carlos may have once been the baddest of the bad, but their wicked ways are (mostly) behind them—and now graduation is almost here! But before the seniors can don their custom-designed caps and gowns, courtesy of Evie, they’ve got an epic plan to put into action.
There are tons of villain kids on the Isle of the Lost who are eager for their chance to come to Auradon Prep—even Celia, Dr. Facilier’s trickster daughter, wants in on the deal!—and Mal’s crew is using their upcoming visit to the Isle to help make it happen. But Auradon’s biggest threat is still at large… Trapped on the other side of the barrier, Uma is more desperate than ever to get her long-awaited revenge against Mal. When she discovers an underground lair belonging to Hades, god of the underworld, Uma realizes she’s found the perfect partner in crime. Together, they can defeat Mal, bring down the barrier, and escape the Isle for good. Mal and Uma have a score to settle, and they’ll come face to face in an explosive underwater battle that could determine the fates of Auradon and the Isle of the Lost once and for all.
How to Make Under the Sea Donut Kabobs and Milk for a Descendants Party
Grab a few supplies and let your kids have fun making these easy treats!
What you’ll need:
- Mini powdered sugar donuts
- Donut holes
- Vanilla frosting
- Neon blue, pink and yellow food coloring
- Gummy candy (I used gummy bears and gummy octopus candy)
- Blue or purple candy sprinkles
- Skewers
- Milk
Spoon several tablespoons of vanilla frosting into different small microwave safe bowls. Add a few drops of food coloring in each bowl to get your desired sea blue colors. I used several drops of blue with one drop of yellow for a pretty turquoise ocean blue. Mix blue and pink (or red) food coloring to make purple.
Microwave each bowl for about 30 seconds to heat the frosting for donut dipping.
Decorate Your Donuts
Spread out a sheet of wax paper or foil and dip a donut into the frosting. Cover with sprinkles and let dry.
Get Creative with Donut Kabobs
After you have frosted your donuts and they are completely dry, begin adding candy and your donuts to skewers.
Fill a pitcher with milk and add a few blue food coloring drops and stir. Pour the ocean blue milk into jars and garnish with a straw and your cute Under the Sea Donut Kabobs!
These are such adorable and easy under the sea themed party ideas!
