We have a new craft show for kids today! Watch Siena in her “I’ll Show You How” craft show as she shows you how to make a paper plate pet.
Remember, all crafts are from the brain of my five year old daughter. Believe me when I say, I’ve tried to give her ideas and she will have none of it… they must be her idea and original craft idea or she won’t do the show. ha! So bear with her, as some of this craft might seem easy for an adult, but it’s pretty hard for a kid! I think she showed great patience in this video. A good lesson for all kids out there!
First, she created a lion, which I thought she was going to show in her video. But she changed her mind and made a cat, because she had wrapped the lion as a Christmas gift for her Daddy. I was not allowed to open the gift to show her lion on the video, so I made my own as you will see her display in the video. Ha!
It’s always a surprise as what she will do next. I hope you and your kids enjoy her latest show!
If you can not see the video, view it on YouTube here.

- Scissors
- Glue Stick or Glue Dots
- Crayons or Markers

Amy, I am in 4-H, and I was wondering if it would be okay if I used your idea as a working exhibit project. I would demonstrate and guide other kids at the county fair how to make their own Paper Plate Pet. I would source you and your blog on my instructions and posters.
Please and thank you! 🙂
Amy you have a sweet little lady! So cute. I would love to make the pet faces on the plates using the printable coloring sheets but I can't seem to find where to print. This is what is says under "download coloring sheets here" [download id="16"]. Can you help me? Sorry I'm not good at this. I did check in the free printables at the top but I might not have pick the right section in which to look.
Your daughter is so cute, really loved her creativity. I also loved the idea of showing patience in her. and the way she picked up her glue stick twice and also mentioned each time in her talk. o, she is brilliant.
Great idea! Perfect for the next rainy day.
you have a star Amy!!!……..she’s just adorable!

So much talent! She’s a real natural when it comes to art. I wish I was that good when I was her age, it would be a lot of fun. 🙂
Shut the front door. I have a 2 year old and I would die if she grows up like Sienna to love crafting. Sienna – I am so proud of you for showing the world your crafts. Keep creating sweetheart, thanks for sharing your gifts with us!
@Kelly D.,
There are many times I want to stop to help her, but she wants to do things herself. I hope your 4 year old enjoys it!
This is SO adorable!! She did a great job being patient. Can’t wait to show my 6 and 4 year old this video.
Great! It looks like she needs some tape as back up! : )
So adorable and stinkin cute!
I love that you posted the video with mistakes and all. It’s a good lesson in patience for the kids! I showed this to my 4 year old who gets easily frustrated. I explained how Siena looked a little upset when her ears wouldn’t stick but that she stayed calm. She just kept trying and it all worked out. Thank you so much!
