If you’re like me and watched hundreds of episodes of the cartoon version with your kids, you might be excited for this live-action adventure too. It’s so fun that Dora, Diego and Boots are back! This new film in theaters August 9, will most definitely bring back memories.
To get you in the “swing” of things, I created the ultimate ice cream shake inspired by Dora’s best monkey friend, Boots. This easy Boots Banana Freakshake is filled with banana ice cream, gooey hot fudge, chocolate sprinkles, brownies, whipped cream and more! It’s delicioso!
What is the Dora movie about?
Having spent most of her life exploring the jungle with her parents, nothing could prepare Dora (Isabela Moner) for her most dangerous adventure ever – High School.
Always the explorer, Dora quickly finds herself leading Boots (her best friend, a monkey), Diego (Jeffrey Wahlberg), a mysterious jungle inhabitant (Eugenio Derbez), and a rag tag group of teens on a live-action adventure to save her parents (Eva Longoria, Michael Peña) and solve the impossible mystery behind a lost city of gold.
What is a Freakshake?
A freakshake is basically a mega huge milkshake combining ice cream with candy, then stacking the top of the cup with high calorie desserts such as brownies, candy bars, cotton candy and often entire slices of cake. It’s said the freakshake trend started in Australia, but now basically everywhere! If you can eat the whole thing, you’re a dessert loving rock star! ha!
