We made these cookies in a jar craft at my MOPS group. These are great homemade gifts for teachers and friends.
The cookies are really yummy! It’s a fun project to do with kids because the recipe calls for mixing the ingredients with your hands.
You can download the instructions, ingredient list, 2 directions tags and 2 circle tags here.
I also made my baby owl into a tag if you like it better. Download the file here.
Have fun!!

Your post on Halloween M&M Cookies is great. I am going to include in my blog. http://nicksposts.wordpress.com/
Thanks Nick
Thank you so much!! I LOVE the owl one!
Adorable! We are getting ready to do these with my MOPs group as well! I may make up something for fall though because we don’t meet again until November 2. I will link this to my blog at http://www.simplyawesomeprintables.blogspot.com! Thanks!
I love it! thank you. I will share this on my blog.
Is there any way to change to tag to read “Happy Thanksgiving”? My MOPS group has a make a take meeting planned for Nov 5 and a mason jar mix is one thing we are doing. We don’t meet again in October though!
Most “cookie in a jar” recipes call for quart sized, wide-mouth mason jars. You can find them by the dozen right now at WalMart or most grocery stores in the canning section.
But my question is… where can you find the Halloween colored M&M’s this year? All I can locate are the “fall” bags, and those colors are way too drab for this cute project. I even looked on the official M&M site and it appears they only have the fall ones. Has anyone seen it around this year??!

Hi, I am an italian girl and I find this site as a link from “shabby chic interiors”. I have a shop and I would like to buy something “shabby” for my customer.
Compliments for your ideas…great…

These are nice, but I was curious if you had an alternate like “Happy Harvest” or something for those who have a conscience objection to Halloween? Also, do you have any response cards for parties? Thank you so much for your wonderful gifts either way.
Too cute. Thanks for the printable and the recipe!
What size are this jars????
@Carmen,
Good question…
I just bought the big ones at Walmart. They only had this size and tiny ones. Not sure of the exact size. Does anyone know? I don’t have a jar handy right now…
Is there any way I could con you into making the cookie printable labels with a Christmas theme? I made a ton of these for Halloween, and I’d love to do it again for Christmas. They were a huge hit, and so, so cute. Pretty please!

Thank you for the great idea! We have done these many times during the holidays, but your Halloween cookie in a jar was too cute to pass up. My son made one for his teacher, it was a big hit with all the other Mom’s.
Your designs are wonderful and I so appreciate you sharing your craft.
Thank you-
