Dance Performance Flower Bucket Bouquet Gift

Dance Performance Flower Bucket Bouquets

Flower bucket bouquets are so much fun and nothing makes high school drill team dancers smile more after a performance than showering them with bouquets of flowers!  Whether it’s a dance show, music recital, cheer competition or theater production, it’s a tradition to give someone flowers after a performance as a way to say congratulations.

This weekend my daughter’s drill team performed in their spring show. Instead of us giving them individual flower bouquets after their dance performance, they made flower buckets for each other.

The flower buckets were then displayed on a table with a small amount of water, so anyone could add flowers to make a gorgeous bucket bouquet!

Why Do Dancers Get Flowers?

Why do dancers receive flowers after a performance? It is a tradition to express appreciation and how proud you are of their dancing achievements. For years, admirers and fans give flowers to dancers to symbolize how much they are loved and adored.

What Type of Flowers Do You Give After a Dance Performance?

Wondering what kind of flowers to give dancers after a performance? Long stem roses are the traditional flower to give to someone. But with flower buckets any long stem flower is welcome to make a flower bucket bouquet.

How does the flower bucket idea work? For our drill team, the big sis and little sis each made one for the other. If you have a high school drill team or cheer team that doesn’t have big/little sis’s you could draw names or have the girls make their own flower bucket.
