Easy DIY Spring Wreath Craft

Easy DIY Spring Wreath Craft Tutorial at LivingLocurto.com

I love making new wreaths for my home and the easier the better!

I bought some plain grapevine wreaths at a garage sale for a few dollars last year and finally doing something crafty with them. I hope my latest DIY Spring wreath craft inspires you to get creative at home!

I recently spruced up our tree house with a new blue door. The wreath I originally had on the door came from inside my daughter’s room. It’s pretty, but not functional for outdoor weather. Since there is not a roof over the tree house door, the wreath’s bucket would have filled fast with water anytime it rains.

Instead, I choose a grapevine wreath that could handle the spring weather. You can see my plain wreath needed some Living Locurto creative craft touches!

After spray painting the wreath white, and shopping for some cheap silk flowers. Jazzing up this grapevine wreath only took about 20 minutes!

What you’ll need:

  • Grapevine Wreath
  • Spray Paint
  • Silk Flowers
  • Scissors or Wire Cutters
  • Twine
  • Hot Glue Gun

Clip flowers and tuck them into the wreath. I didn’t glue mine at all, but you can if you think they will blow away.

I wanted to add some paper bunting, but was worried about the rain ruining it. So instead, I cut some of the silk flower leaves into triangles for bunting, then hot glued them to some twine.

The leaf bunting solution turned out really cute! I can always laminate some paper and add another row of bunting later.

For now, I think the wreath turned out great for a 20 minute craft project!
