It’s never too early to think about Holiday Craft Ideas. I just got a sneak peek at what will be available at one of my favorite stores, Michaels, this season! These creative DIY home decor projects will get you even more excited about the holidays.
I was recently invited to a wonderful bloggers event with Michaels and got to tour a private trade show just for their managers and vendors. It was an honor to attend this event, as this was the first time they opened it up to outsiders. We were like kids in a candy store, that’s for sure!
Not only did I get to meet some amazing bloggers, we all got to meet craft celebrities, view new products and talk with companies who create Michaels signature lines. Stay tuned for more details about my trip soon!
I was wowed when I walked into an amazing White and Silver Holiday booth. The ideas are so fabulous that I couldn’t wait to show them to you!
All five of these projects will have detailed instructions this Holiday Season on the Michaels website. For now, here is a sneak peek at what you’ll see online and in stores.
DIY Holiday Light Antlers
When I saw these DIY Christmas Light Antlers, my mouth began to drool! Seriously, how cool are these?
The lights are battery operated and stuck inside fabric covered styrofoam. They are mounted on painted wooden plaques that were covered in textured scrapbook paper. Genius! Hanging the crystal beads on the lights made them even more beautiful.
Easy Shadow Box Holiday Frames
How many of us have left over floral leaves, twigs and ornaments from years of Holiday decorating? These shadow boxes are a simple way of decorating for the holidays. Adding battery operated lights makes them so much fun!
Turn your dinning room chairs into fabulous decorations with a few yards of tulle fabric, ribbon, pretty flowers and glittered fruit.
Holiday Table Place Setting
Using small picture frames and adding some embellishments to a simple napkin ring holder can make any table setting gorgeous! If you don’t like the color of your napkin rings, just use some of the many colors of paint found at Michaels for an easy change.
Christmas Tree Wreath
Another amazing idea from the Michael’s crew is this beautiful wreath! It’s made out of small white Christmas Trees. I can’t wait for them to post the tutorial on how to make this craft! I will be running to the store to find me some small trees for sure.
Thanks to Michaels for inviting me to their private event and being such a great inspiration to the crafting community!
Be sure to visit the Michaels website for great project ideas for the holidays.
