April Fools Tricks for Kids

Here are some good humored April Fool’s tricks to play on your family. This is a re-post from last year I thought you might enjoy.

Ideas for Dinner

Serve things backward. Dessert first or breakfast for dinner.

Make jello look like juice!

Pour your favorite flavor of Jello into drinking glasses and insert a straw in each glass. Let set in the fridge. Your kids will say “huh??!”

Turn plates upside down

Use a giant spoon, ice scoop, or spatula to eat with.

Trick your family with meatloaf cupcakes with mashed potato frosting.

Make your water change color

Freak out your kids or spouse by adding Crayola Color Dotz Bath Tub Tints inside the faucet! Unscrew the cap on the faucet, and set a couple of the tablets inside. When the water is turned on, get ready for a burst of color! And it’s easy with no clean up.  (Water prank found on Martha Stewart)

Are you a prankster? What’s the funniest thing you’ve pulled off?

Another cool idea is to take raw eggs and very carefully poke a hole in it with a needle or the edge of a fork, then let the contents slide out, then put the shell back in the container, but dont let it go to waste, cook what you took out of the shell

    Dear Friends, Happy Fool’s Day!

Newly wed wife to her husband:
“That is why I can’t stand you – you are so unpredictable. On Monday you liked the potatoes, Tuesday you liked the potatoes, Wednesday you liked the potatoes, Thursday you said you loved the potatoes preparation, Friday you liked the potatoes, Saturday you liked the potatoes and now all of a sudden on Sunday you say that you don’t like potatoes.”

    Happy April Fool’s Day!

  18. One year I did the meatloaf thing but made a full sized cake instead. I told them we were having cake for dinner. They were fooled until they pit into it.

  19. I love the Jello idea and the meatloaf cupcakes. My daughter loves meatloaf but I would love to see her face if she really though she was getting a cupcake. She is 3 and sporting a nice little attitude right now, that would make her so mad and I would just LOL!
