Easy homemade DIY Photo Booth Background idea! LivingLocurto.com

When it comes to parties, I love having a place for a fun photo booth. Today I want to show you a DIY photography background idea that you can easily make in your home or practically anywhere there is a wall!

I’ve been working hard trying to get my new studio space organized and decorated. This is my second month in my new place and it’s coming together great! I can’t wait to show you the finished space!

When I moved into the studio, I knew I wanted an area for table top photos and one for portraits. I figured I would have parties as well, so when I found some pretty patterned wrapping paper, I knew it would make the perfect photo booth background. But, then I needed to figure out how and where I would hang the paper. So here is what I did…

I have a lot of natural lighting pouring directly onto one wall in my studio which is perfect spot for portrait photos. That is where I needed to hang a cool backdrop for photos!

Because I wanted something non-permanent, I got some clear adhesive hooks to hang my pretty wrapping paper. I found hooks that easily come off of the wall and moved to a different spot.

I made loops on each end of a long piece of ribbon and strung it through the wrapping paper tube, then hung it on the hooks.

After pulling the paper down to the level that I wanted for photos, I clamped the top with a clothes pin to hold the paper in place. I didn’t do this at first and the paper fell completely off of the tube! So make sure you have a clothes pin to clamp the paper in place.

This easy photo booth idea makes an instant photography background in about 10 minutes!

Not only can you easily change out the wrapping paper rolls, but you can do this just about anywhere.

If you are hosting a party that is not in your home, this backdrop idea is perfect to take along with you. The adhesive hooks come right off the wall and do not damage the wall paint. It’s a great idea for dessert tables as well as a photo booth. No tape or tacks needed!

Then a few weeks later, I invited some friends over for a casual happy hour girl get together. I knew the new background photo booth wall would be a fun idea!

Now I have a weird addiction to buying wrapping paper. Good thing I have a studio space to store it all:-)

More photos of the studio are coming soon!

Share the fun!
