Easter Candy Milkshake with Peeps

Easter Candy Robins Egg and Peeps Milkshake Recipe at LivingLocurto.com

We are finally enjoying some nice spring weather and a DIY milkshake is the perfect treat for using leftover Easter Candy! Divian is back today with this fun and easy recipe that I’m sure you’ll love! ~ Amy

My mother would always make one huge Easter basket full of colored eggs and candy to use as a centerpiece on our kitchen table. It was a rule that it was not to be touched until Easter morning. She always said she knew where every piece was supposed to be and could tell if something was missing.

Of course…if you were really good like me, you could sneak a piece and she would never ever know! With Easter right around the corner, I thought about that big basket of candy and goodies my mom will make for my children. After Easter, there is always so much left over! What do we do with it all?

I usually separate the candy and bag it up to be passed out over the next week or so but this year I wanted to try something different. What alternatives could there be? What can we do with leftover Easter candy?

With it getting warmer and we are able to finally enjoy ice cream again, I thought a milkshake could be perfect! I made this one using malted candy and chocolate candy. Of course, how cool would a jelly bean shake be?

You will need:

  • Malted candy (whoppers, Robin Eggs, 1 cup)
  • Chocolate candy ( about 7-8 small pieces)
  • Ice cream (1 pint)
  • 1 cup of milk
  • Whipped cream
  • Marshmallow peeps for garnish

Place your Easter candy into a food processor or blender.

Blend until you have crumbs. I removed the pieces that did not crumble.

You can then add in your ice cream and milk. Since my ice cream was fairly soft, I just mixed mine into a glass pitcher. Mix well until blended.

Pour into your glasses or Mason jars and top with creamy whipped cream.

Add a marshmallow Peep, straw and a little bit of candy and there you have it!   (The mini chocolate bunnies are Russell Stovers, aren’t they cute!?)

  1. Adorable presentation, and I love the idea of grinding the malted Easter egg candies for it.

    • It tastes so good! The malted candies make it taste like a traditional old fashioned malt float and no need for added chocolate syrup because the chocolate candies give it that flavor. I love it!

  2. Oh my gosh, this sounds fabulous, and I want those tiny chocolate bunnies:)

  3. So fun! I need to try these!

  4. Another amazing reason to love peeps!! This looks delicious!!
