Sour cream and onion dip is a classic party favorite that can be easily made at home. With only 5 simple ingredients, you can whip up a batch of this delicious dip in no time!
In a small bowl, combine the sour cream, mayonnaise, onion powder, chopped parsley and garlic powder. Mix well until all the ingredients are fully incorporated.
Taste the dip and adjust the flavor by adding salt according to your preference. You can add more onion powder for a stronger onion flavor.
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together. This will also give the dip a thicker consistency.
When ready to serve, take out the dip from the refrigerator and give it a quick stir before transferring it into a serving bowl.
Serve with your favorite chips, crackers, or vegetables as dippers. You can also use this sour cream and onion dip as a spread for sandwiches or wraps.
Notes
You can store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Just give it a good stir before serving again.
