Soft Sugar Cookies
Delicious homemade sugar cookies recipe that are soft and fluffy!

cup
butter
softened
1
cup
vegetable oil
1
cup
granulated sugar
1
cup
of sifted powdered sugar
2
eggs
1
tsp
vanilla extract
4 ½
cups
all purpose flour
1
tsp
baking soda
1
tsp
salt
1
tsp
cream of tartar
Instructions
In large mixing bowl, mix all dry ingredients.
In another bowl, combine the wet ingredients and butter.
Whisk gently to mix and slowly begin adding in the flour/sugar mixture.
Mix gently with large spoon or spatula until a dough is formed. Dough will not be absolutely hard, it should be fairly soft.
Form dough into a ball and place into the refrigerator until ready for use.
To bake, preheat oven at 325 degrees.
Pinch off dough to form 1 inch balls.
Place the balls on a cookie sheet with about an inch and a half of space between them.
Use a glass to coated with leftover oil and dipped into sugar to flattened each ball.
Bake for 6-12 minutes until edges are slightly golden.
You can bake longer for a firmer cookie.
