***Warning! Mommy brag post***
I don’t know how I got so lucky. I think I may have about the sweetest little girl ever. Her brother and daddy may beg to differ, because she’s officially a mommy’s girl now! I love it.
Now that big bro is at school. Little sweetness and I have had some much needed mommy and me time. The first day he was away, we explored the playroom. Wow! It’s a whole new world without big bro. I didn’t realize how well she could talk. Seems like she didn’t stop talking the entire day! Ha. Everything is “Wook Mommy!” Normally this would really bug me, but it’s so cute in her high pitched Texas accent.
She had her 2 year check up yesterday and the doctor commented that they have never seen such a well behaved two year old! Several nurses had to come in our room to see this sweet girl. I was beaming!!! And of course, she said hi to each one with her tiny voice. If you don’t know, I have one of those “crazy boys”. So this calm, sweet thing is VERY foreign to me! She has always been so tiny, but all the sudden shot up in height to the 90th percentile. Wow! Maybe she can finally wear jeans. I LOVE baby jeans.
Last night I found out my friends Dan and Stephanie had to take their one year old son to the hospital. He has seizures and it got bad enough where they had to be admitted over night. I feel better now that they are getting good care. I hope everything turns out okay. This morning after the boys left, I told my girl about her little friend and said we should pray for him. Oh my gosh… she said. “Yes!” and bowed her little head! So we said a prayer for baby Jackson. She started by saying “Dear God.” Then repeated “Amen.” after I was done. What a sweet, sweet thing!!
She just walked in my office with her pink sparkly high heals and matching purse!!! I’d better go and play now. I just love little girls!
UPDATE: She is counting paper on my office floor and counted to 12! I’m NOT kidding. Who knew she could count at all? Crazy.
How sweet! Is that her bedroom in the pictures…love the walls!
You have every right to brag! I’d do the same if I had my blog going when my girls were little. Now they’re older and still get lots of compliments on their behavior and politeness.
Aww! Baby girls are the sweetest things and your little girl is adorable. It’s a special moment when you get to spend one-on-one time with one of your children. It doesn’t happen often around here, but I sure feel blessed when it does.
Amy, so nice to meet you and thanks much for stopping by my blog! I love seeing all your work — you certainly can do it all. I’ve been designing for what, only six years, so it’s so fun to see all that you’ve accomplished. Hope to be there one day.
Cute story about your daughter. My younger one is also mellow. So different than my older wild-child (I say that lovingly!).
I’d brag too! She is adorable. It’s fun to have them on their own occasionally.
You won a starbucks card @ mommyknows.com. Shoot me an email with your address and I will pop it in the mail.

I, too, am a mommy of a very sweet baby girl, but I had the very calm, well behaved boy that everyone would ooh and ahh over, and now have the rambunctious, adventurous, active little girl that I have a hard time keeping up with…but I,too, love my little mini-me!! She’s mommy’s girl!
Brag away! She is a doll baby!!!
How wonderful that the medical staff complimented you on her behavior!
That’s so great!
