Last Saturday I got the most awesome present… a morning at the spa with other bloggers… for FREE! When I got the invitation from Holly & the Scrubbing Bubbles team to attend, it took me about one second to say “Hello… are you kidding me? Of course!” Bloggers and spa treatments are my two most favorite combinations, well besides chocolate and marshmallows.
(photo by Gretchen aka Texan Mama)
What an awesome day with some of my favorite bloggers…..
Front row: Rachel – Quirky Momma * Laurie – Tip Junkie * Bianca – Becoming Bianca * Cynthia – Oh So Cynthia * Kim – Savor The Days * Holly – Our awesome hostess – June Cleaver Nirvana * Shauna – Blah Blah Blog — Back row: Me (Hiding in the back because I already had my clothes on) * Mariah – Humphries Nation * Lynley – Save The Phillips Family * Rebekah – DFW Mama * Candace – MamaMia * Angela * Gretchen – Who Put Me In Charge Of These People??? * Not pictured Shannon – Milk and Cuddles & Lea Ann – Mommy’s Wish List
The whole purpose was to learn about the new Scrubbing Bubble’s product. I loved their sign with Holly’s giant photo! Because we know that’s what we all look like when we clean our bathroom! LOL! She even got to take it home with her, which of course went directly on top of her mantel.
At first when I read Scrubbing Bubbles, I thought we were getting some kind of special product for our face. ha! When really it was the cleaning product… which I must say I needed much more than a face cleanser:-)
The new bottle has a continuous sprayer (battery operated), who knew we needed such a thing? As soon as I got home, I tried it on my yucky shower door and was surprised by how easy and fast it was to clean not only my door, but the entire shower. I just stood there and held down the sprayer and it did all the work. I love that kind of cleaning!!
Scrubbing Bubbles is giving away a goodie basket just like the one we got at the spa. To enter, just leave a comment telling me what your most hated and favorite chores are and why.
Mine would be: Most hated: Laundry (because it just stinks… literally!), Favorite: Vacuuming (can’t hear the screaming kids, it’s repetitive and instant results.) Tell me yours and I’ll announce the winner next weekend!
**This giveaway is closed – Congrats to Kelly O for winning!
See the note pad? It’s for the shower for all those brainstorming ideas you have while naked and wet:-) Pretty cool!
A HUGE thanks to Holly and Scrubbing Bubbles for the wonderful, relaxing day!

Stephanie Grant says
My most hated is dishes and my most fave is laudry because all you have to do is switch it over and then put it up! Thanks for the chance to win!
Wendy at AllCrafts.net says
I like vacuuming because I have a Roomba and it vacuums for me so I think a battery powered Scrubbing Bubbles is right up my alley! Especially because cleaning the bathroom is my least favorite chore. Can you spray the whole room and just walk away !?!

i don’t really like any chore — who does! but i’d say my least favorite is laundry. hate hate hate laundry. this explains why i have to buy so many clothes. 🙂
my favorite chore — it’s a toss up between cleaning my kitchen (i hate waking up to a dirty kitchen) or vacuuming (near instant gratification + i have a roomba now so i can watch it vacuum for me!)
Trudy says
My favorite chore is vacuuming (love those clean floors!) & my least favorite chore is cleaning the fridge (I somehow find hairs & food bits; gross!).

What a great giveaway!
My most hated chore is definitely laundry. I have five stinky children that wear a million socks a day. My goodness, the socks!! I wish they would go barefooted at least some of the time. But no, ALL of them have to wear socks. What’s the deal?!?
Hmmm, favorite chore. I can’t say that I have a favorite chore. But I do love it when my kitchen is sparkling clean.

What a fun day… and great giveaway! My most hated is dishes. I love cooking, but the cleaning up after is the worst. And my favorite is vacuuming!!!

I LOVE Scrubbing Bubbles. And a battery operated sprayer..what could be cooler. My favorite chore has to be dusting – makes everything look like new and my least favorite…dishes. YUCK ! Even with a dishwasher : )

My least favorite chore is putting away laundry.
My favorite is vacuuming. I love the look of a clean floor and the pattern it makes on the carpet. 🙂

My least favorite housework task is cleaning out the refrigerator. Also, cleaning the TOP of the refrigerator. I am 5 ft 3 in and can not SEE the top, so it doesn’t bother me, but my husband complains about it. I tell him to wipe it off if it bothers him! My favorite chore is folding the laundry. I love the feel of warm towels and clothes, along with the fresh clean smell.

The least favorite chore is the bathroom, the entire bathroom. My favorite chore is watchng my “man servant” aka husband do the laundry.
Tina Hunter says
My least favorite is cleaning the tile in my shower. Favorite hmm well I guess the lesser evil would be laundry. Maybe because I get so much practice at it.
Emily F. says
My least favorite chores have to be mopping and cleaning the shower/tub!

most hated: laundry because it never seems to end and it’s easy to procrastinate on every step from washing to drying to folding to putting away and then becomes an even bigger mess.
favorite: can’t say I have one but I guess it would be loading the dishwasher–unloading is a different story.
[email protected] says
I have to say, I am a huge scrubbing bubbles fan myself. When I moved in with my husband I thought we were going to have to reglaze the bathtub because of the boy grime. Scrubbing bubbles cleaned that puppy right up!
Anyway, I hate chores, but love ones where I see results. My favorite chore is vacuuming. Least favorite: dusting, cleaning the bathroom, doing dishes, um, pretty much anything other than vacuuming.
Nancy says
I saw the commercial for the new Scrubbing zbubbles and was very intrigued! My least favorite is loading and unloading the dishwasher because I am fighting my labreador the whole time! I don’t mind the wash part of the laundry-sort and throw it in-just not the folding!
Cute pic up there!

My least favorite is the dishes. We don’t have a dishwasher so I have to wash them all by hand.
My favorite would be either vacuuming or the laundry. I just don’t like folding the clothes, haha.
Samantha says
I don’t really like any chores!, but I too don’t mind laundry. I like to sort it before washing, take the time to soak if needed and treat stains properly. A lot of our clothes are thrifted, and I take care to get the most out of them. They are often recycled again to friends children or back to the thrift store if we feel like a change. It feels good to know we are helping to recycle rather than land fill.
My least favourite is removing dog poo from the yard. It makes me dry retch every time. I love our dog but I wish he could use the toilet!!

Least Favorite-Cooking. It’s a chore to me and when your 3 yo says to you “mommy, I like your chicken nuggets, your fish sticks, but I don’t like this {and it’s homemade},” that really makes me hate it even more. Favorite is vacuuming for the very same reasons as yours {drowns out all the noisy kids}! 🙂

Nice giveaway!
Most hated chore- folding laundry & putting it away. I can’t tell you why but I can wash and dry it but folding it and putting it away irks me!
Favorite chore- washing dishes. It’s just soothing…and it’s easy to see a difference quickly.

Least favorite: BATHROOMS. I hate cleaning them. Avoid it at all costs. My bathroom is currently overdue for a good scrubbing.
Favorite: I like vaccuming and ironing. They are kind of mindless and you can always see the results when you are done.
Amy @ Tiny Blessings says
Most hated: laundry, because it’s never done. With the various ages/ sleep schedules in the house, I’ve always got someone’s clothes waiting to be put away because I can’t get into their room. And, unless we become nudists, there are clothes being made dirty even as I’m washing the last of what’s in the hampers. Arghhh!
Favorite: scrubbing the kitchen sink until it sparkles. (Thanks to a particular product and Flylady’s advice.)
Nicole says
I hate doing the dishes but I love vacuuming. Actually I dislike cleaning all together. Does the gift basket come with a maid? I could use one of those.
Angela says
I hate cleaning the toliet. Scrubbing the toilet two and three times a day. I hate it hate it hate it. No matter what it’s disgusting and I hate it .
Linda says
Favorite chore- cooking, redecorating
Hated chore- scrubbing the bath tub/ shower – it’s cold and wet.
It’s funny that there are people out there that get ideas in the shower- I thought I was the only one. 🙂
Emilie @ Bunch of Scrap says
Lucky you! Sounds like you had fun 🙂 My least favorite chore is cleaning the bathroom… for obvious reasons… I bet Scrubbing Bubbles would make it better… especially with a battery powered cleaning “gun”! My favorite chore is vacuuming as well… I love sucking things up and it’s a great motivational tool to get the kids to pick stuff up off their bedroom floor… My vacuum has a clear canister so you can see the lego that has been floating around in there for a while 😉

My least favorite chore is ironing clothes, and my favorite would
have to be cleaning the floors!
Bonnie says
My most favorite household chore is dusting. It’s time consuming, yes but what you see when you’re done is amazing – beautiful, sparkling furniture and “happy” knick knacks. Everything looks dull and dingy with even the slightest coat of dust on it.
My least favorite chore would be mopping. We have a dog and it drives me crazy how much dirt he can drag through the house and, unfortunately, he has to walk through my kitchen to get into the back yard. It means mopping every day. It’s icky.
yadira says
Most hated chore has to be…washing pans. I hate putting them in the dishwasher so I wash them by hand:(. Most favorite laundry minus the folding I can load a washer like no other just takes me a while to fold and hang.
Pat says
HATE cleaning the bathroom ! YUCK ! I really don’t mind LAUNDRY ! Go figure !
Tammy @ LoveMy2Dogs says
Ugg, I hate to mop the floor. That is the worst thing for me. I don’t mind cleaning the toilet and sinks when I get to use my Scrubbing Bubbles. Love that product. I use it in the tub also, but that’s not very fun to do either. lol

I hate laundry because it’s a three step process that never ENDS! As soon as I finish the last step (putting away) it’s time to begin all over again.

Most Hated: cleaning the kitchen, because I always feel paranoid that I left behind some small germ that will kill us all when it jumps on our toast in the morning! Favorite: laundry. I LOVE laundry! I can multi-task doing laundry with other projects and the accomplishment shows great visual results. The added bonus is that the smell of clean laundry floats through the whole house and just makes me feel happy! 🙂
Sarah says
Most hated: bathroom cleaning!!!! I’m the only girl in the house and the bathroom is ALWAYS a mess!!!
Favorite: Laundry. While folding the clothes is super time consuming, I can sit and watch tv and relax.

Most hated – folding laundry (it’s so tedious).
Favorite – vacuuming (wish I had more carpets for this chore).

Amy, I just posted my comment, then read what everyone else said again, and I had to come back to comment again. Isn’t it interesting what other women like and don’t like to do, and why? It really gives us good reason to pause and think. My mother is always (always!) telling us about how much my Italian grandmother loved washing dishes and doing hand laundry because she looooooved water. Now, think about it; my Nonna grew up in a remote mountain village where there was no indoor plumbing, and as the oldest of 12, I’m sure she hauled lots of water. Imagine what a luxury it must have been for her to have water from a faucet. It really makes me think how truly blessed we are. I’m going to try not to complain about things I should be grateful for.
So, Amy, I thought this was a very provocative question — good going, you clever thing!

My favorite housework is putting new sheets on the bed. I usually dust and mop at the same time, then I arrange the pillows. Everything looks so pretty, so it’s a nice rush.
My least favorite job is bringing the garbage out to the compost pile. I love my compost, but just hate the nastiness of the yucky rot — especially hate crossing the snowy backyard in winter!
Sabrina M says
My favorite chore, or better put, the chore I don’t mind doing so much is laundry. It feels good to unload a basket full of dirty clothes, and then reload the laundry with clothes for the week.
The chore I hate the most…oh I could list so many. Probably the dishes. I hate doing the dishes, because usually they need to be done after dinner around 8-9 p.m. and I’m exhausted.
brown-eyed-girl says
My most favourite chore is loading and unloading the dishwasher. I feel like I’ve accomplished something when all those dirty dishes get clean. My least favourite is cleaning the washroom. It’s just gross.

Hmmm my most favourite chore would be re-organizing my linen closet or really any area of the house, I love de cluttering and re-organizing… my least favourite would be the bathroom, ours is a tiny apartment one and it’s just a pain- luckily my husband has taken it on as his own responsibility!

wow! looks like you had fun!
my least favourite chore is scrubbing the shower–while I’m prego though, my hubby does it!
Some days I’d be pregnant forever just so he’d clean the shower!
My most favourite is laundry!
you put it in and have a half hour of freedom before you have to change it over! looks like you’ve gotten tons done , but really you sat on your butt most of the day.
I also love folding laundry because I love to look at my kids clothes and marvel at how big they’re getting– and they like to help sort socks

My most favorite is laundry. I think it’s easy because the machines do most of the work. And I fold the laundry in front of the TV, about the only time I get to sit still! My least favorite is cleaning bathrooms. And ironing, but that isn’t really cleaning.

I LOVE YOUR BLOG!!
The idea of a battery-operated spray never occured to me, but sounds nifty. I know my arm sure gets tired from squeezing that trigger sometimes! Anyways…
My favorite chore by far is: LAUNDRY! I throw EVERYTHING in the washing machine! LOL
Least favorite: FOLDING! I would rather scrub the dirty tub than have to fold and put everything away! Plus since I get carried away with the washing, you can imagine the crazy amount of loads I have to put away! :0)
Mommy of Three! says
Love making beds & folding towels — HATE dusting & cleaning the bathtub!!
Pam D says
The older I get, the less favorites there are. But, I guess making beds is my fav; I love the smell of clean linen and it really perks up the room. Most hated is a tie between laundry/ironing and dusting.

my favorite is laundry as I like restoring organization to the chaos. My least favorite is putting away clean dishes.

i can think of a favorite, I am a really bad housekeeper I have to force myself to do it all. But I must hate folding clothes the most because I always have a backlog!
Leanne says
My favorite chore is a tie between vacuuming and sorting out my home office. Vacuuming means saying bye to the dog fur that seems to be all over the house and sorting out the office means that I am caught up with everything. Least favorite again is a tie between laundry and cleaning the cat’s litter box.I am fine with the sorting, washing and drying. I just can’t stand having to fold and put the clean laundry away. The litter box is pretty much self explanatory.
Lisa says
Least favorite: Ironing. The clothes just get wrinkled as soon as you put them on. Favorite: organizing stuff.

So, I’m a huge fan of scrubbing bubbles…and something that’s battery operated and takes the work out of it…that’s exactly what I need (note the name of my blog! ha!). My least favorite cleaning chore is folding the laundry. I don’t mind sorting or washing…but the folding and hanging up gets be every time!
