Can You Cook Pizza Rolls in the Air Fryer?
Wondering if you can cook this recipe for pizza rolls in your air fryer? The answer is yes, and they will be crispy on both sides. Yum!
The trick is making your pizza roll fit in the size of your air fryer. I have a very large air fryer, so one roll would fit. (I like this–> air fryer so much!) But if you have a smaller air fryer, you’ll have to cut the pizza dough and make two smaller pizza rolls.
How Long Do You Cook Pizza Rolls in Air Fryer?
For this air fryer pizza dough recipe, you will be using raw dough that needs to fully cook and brown on both sides.
You’ll want to set your air fryer to 400 degrees or as high as it will go. After you bake your pizza dough for a minute or so, assemble the pizza rolls and bake for 5 minutes. Check on the dough to see if it’s browned and fully cooked through. It might need a few more minutes of cook time depending on your type of air fryer.
They should be crispy on both sides, with a golden finish. See detailed directions in the recipe card below.

Equipment
Ingredients
- 1 pound pizza dough
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 4 tablespoons butter melted
- 25 pepperoni slices
- 1 ½ cups Mozzarella Cheese shredded
- ½ teaspoon dried basil
- ¼ teaspoon dried oregano
- 2 cups Marinara dipping sauce
Instructions
Oven Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degree
- Lightly spray a baking sheet with cooking spray and roll pizza crust into a large rectangle (about 14×9) and bake for 5 minutes.
- In a small bowl mix melted butter and garlic.
- Remove pizza crust from oven, let cool for a minute. Use a spatula to unstick crust from pan.
- Brush garlic butter over the crust. Reserve a small bit for later.
- Layer the pepperoni and cheese onto the pizza crust and sprinkle with basil and oregano.
- Gently roll the pizza crust and coat the top with reserved garlic butter.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes more or until golden brown.
- Slice and serve with warmed marinara sauce for dipping.
Air Fryer Instructions
- Cut 2 pieces of parchment paper to fit the size of your air fryer. Before unrolling pizza dough, slice it in half. Lightly spray the paper with cooking spray and roll one half of pizza crust into a rectangle on the parchment paper. Repeat with the other half of the dough on the second sheet of parchment paper.
- Place a sheet with dough into the air fryer. Bake at 400 degrees or as high as your air fryer will go for 1-2 minutes until dough is slightly baked.
- Remove pizza crust from air fryer, let cool for a minute. Use a spatula to unstick crust from parchment paper.
- In a small bowl mix melted butter and garlic.
- Brush some of the garlic butter over the crust. Reserve a small bit for later.
- Layer pepperoni and cheese onto the pizza crust and sprinkle with basil and oregano.
- Gently roll the pizza crust and coat the top with reserved garlic butter.
- Repeat with the other piece of pizza dough.
- Spray air fryer with cooking spray, place prepared pizza rolls directly into the air fryer (no parchment paper this time) and bake at 400 degrees or as high as your air fryer will go for 5 minutes. You might be able to fit both rolls into your air fryer, if not, bake one at a time.
- Check the dough to see if it's golden brown. If not ready, add 1-2 more minutes. Pizza rolls should be crispy on both sides, with a golden finish.
- Remove from air fryer, place onto a plate. Slice and serve with warmed marinara sauce for dipping.

Such a great after school snack idea. I keep pizza dough in my freezer all of the time. It’s easy to take it out at lunch and have these ready when the kids come home from school.
