My dear friend’s mother’s home in Oklahoma was destroyed yesterday. This is a clip of her mother on MSNBC. Her sister is also towards the end of the video in the knit hat. Luckily nobody was hurt. Her mother got in the bathtub just minutes before it hit. I’ve been to their home many times and my heart just aches looking at this photo. Please say a prayer for them. I can’t imagine how devastated and in shock they must be. Click the photo to view the entire video.
Thanks for your prayers. Friends reading this, check Facebook for updates and how you can help.

I will be praying for your friends Mom. That is so sad. And terribly frightning!
I love the Valentines you made for your sons class. I realized at midnight last night that I had to come up with 30some Valentines for Kaishon’s class. I totally forgot…
Hope you have a great Valentines Day tomorrow.

Hey Amy:
Your friends are in my prayers. I too cannot imagine that kind of devastation. Thanks be to God they are ok.
Your East Texas Friend,
Ruth Ann
I’ll keep them in my prayers. The people in Lone Grove were hit so hard. We eill be in Oklahoma for the next 18 months or so and just arrived here on Monday. Tuesday afternoon we got to experience the tornado passing overhead and it touched down just north of us near Bethany and Warr Acres, lots of damage there, too. Our friends and family are teasing us that we brought it cause last month we were in Fiji and got caught in a cyclone that resulted in the worst flooding in history!
BTW. my friend…Joana S. tells me you are her friend Amy that does the beautiful photography she has shared a few times!
How awful and sad. They are in my thoughts & prayers.

I will absolutely be praying for them. My home blew away in a tornato when I was little. Just as a kid it was so devastating…I can’t imagine owning a home and having it be totally destroyed. Thank God that they are okay. They will be in my prayers.

Hi Amy,
I wondered if you would know anyone affected by the tornado. So thankful your friend’s family is ok – will be praying for everyone!
love,
Kimberly
I cannot even imagine what they are going through right now ~ I feel so incredibly sorry for all those affected. I read Julia’s post and I too am thankful that we weren’t hit by tornados here. The wind was horrifying (and took off our barn door) but at least we were all safe and sound.

Oh, no! That’s terrible. It’s truly a miracle she survived that, though! Tornadoes can be so devastating. We were on tornado watch here in SW Ohio all day yesterday but nothing came of it as far as I know. We just had crazy winds.

RT @livinglocurto Oklahoma Tornado: My dear friend’s mother’s home in Oklahoma was destroyed yesterday. Pics: http://tinyurl.com/bxmuky
Amy, I am so glad that she is okay…many others were not so lucky I’m afraid. Tornados in Feb. – who would’ve thought?!
My thoughts and prayers are with your friend’s family.
Amy, that is absolutely devastating but wonderful that she did not get hurt. I hope the rebuilding and (emotional) recovery process will go smoothly. My thoughts and prayers are with your friends and other victims of the tornadoes.
Amy,
I’ve been reading your blog for a while, but I’ve never commented. I live in Edmond, OK where the other tornado hit yesterday. Thankfully, we are fine. I cannot believe the destruction in Lone Grove. Your friends and family will be in my prayers.

Hi Amy,
What a tornado! It’s so sad to see the destruction and the loss of life. I’ve been on scene in the immediate aftermath of a couple of major hurricanes and some tornadoes and I’ve seen that first hand. It’s unreal.
If there is anything I can do to help your friends, let me know. Maybe repair advice or questions they might have?
