Sierra mist natural cocktail givewaway

It’s time for Holiday entertaining and I’ve got a great giveaway today from Sierra Mist to help with your party planning!

I love that Sierra Mist Natural is made with real sugar and 100% natural flavoring. It’s the perfect drink to serve at Holiday celebrations.

I also love Champagne. While experimenting with some cocktail recipes using Sierra Mist Natural and Champagne, my friend from Brazil told me that they put peaches in their Mimosas. That sounded fabulous to me, so of course I had to try it out!

For something different, I added some strawberries and boy did it turn out yummy! This is so easy and a fun cocktail to serve on New Year’s Eve for those who don’t like Champagne all on it’s own.

  1. I had to laugh about your daughter and the mocktail. We have great strawberries here in North Carolina and when my daughters were young, I made non-alcholic strawberry margaritas with the fresh strawberries. They were a hit and became almost a daily drink during strawberry season. One Friday night my 9 year old had a friend coming over for a sleepover. I find her hanging onto the column on the front porch, waving her glass around, going “come on, we’re having margaritas!” Needless to say it was a hasty run to the front yard to explain to the parent they were strawberry ‘smoothies’.

  2. It may be lame, but I don’t really drink alcohol so Shirley Temples are fun to me!

  3. I haven’t had a cocktail for a long time, but I enjoy a vodka collins. I bet that I could make a good one with Sierra Mist!

  4. My favorite mixed drink is the Georgia Peach. There are a bunch of different variations online but this is the version I like best:
    1 shot bacardi rum
    1 shot peach schnapps
    1 shot grenadine
Mix in cocktail shaker with a scoop of ice
Pour into glass, then add lemonade until glass is full.

    This drink is so yummy!

  7. My favorite drink is a chocolate martini. Its like chocolate milk with a kick 🙂 I dont have the recipe here, but it is made of: Vanilla vodka, Ghirardelli liquor, creme de cocoa and half and half. Then put chocolate syrup around the inside of the rim of the glass before pouring it in…DELICIOUS!!

  8. Hi, Amy!! Okay, check this one out! This is a mix of Captain Morgan (or any spiced rum), Amaretto, Southern Comfort and pineapple juice. For one drink, use one shot of each liquor and three shots of pineapple juice! Oh my GOSH, is this one GOOD!! It’s been labeled “The Homestead Slammer”! =)

  9. I’m a colada girl all the way. Loved the colada’s from PR at the Condado Hotel. But I’ll take a pina too!

  10. My new favorite thing to drink is Bigelow Jasmine Green Tea – delicate and exquisite! We don’t mix drinks much and no alcohol in our house, but my girls like tea with peach or raspberry puree or nectar mixed in.

  11. I am a wine drinker, but when I was pregnant I discovered this drink that I still love a mango mint Agua fresca. It was mango purée, muddled mint, lime juice and club soda. So delicious!

  13. i have a non alcoholic drink that i LOVE!! mix two cans of FRESCA (i know!!), one cup of cranberry juice cocktail. fill a glass full of ice – pour the frescan mixture to the top of the glass – add a piece of quartered lime that you’ve squeezed into the glass..oh yum!!! great summer drink – and pretty – i call it the lime pinky drink!

  14. I like to make vodka slush… in a large container mix in 1 12 oz thawed 12oz frozen concentrated OJ, and 1 thawed 12 oz frozen lemonade… any brand works ok. Add 3 cups sugar and 6 cups of water. The original recipe calls for a few cups of vodka but I put in the whole dang bottle lol. Let freeze overnight (it won’t freeze completely, it forms a slushy mixture) then the next day scoop out the amount you want into your glasses and top with either sierra mist natural or 7 up… delicious!

  15. Let’s see where do I begin! There’s Mimosas (the Brazilian Mimosa sounds fabulous), Margaritas, Sangria,… I could go on. No really I’m not that big a drinker – but do love to celebrate special days with a libation.
Thanks for the recipe. The Sierra Mist Natural seems perfect for all kinds of recipes.

  21. Oh Yummy–peaches and strawberries in any drink sounds so good. I don’t really have any drink recipes to share, guess I am not very inventive. One of my friends makes an upside down pineapple cake drink that is yummy, but I do not know what is in the drink.

  25. Orchards Peach Juice (found in the OJ section)
Frozen peaches (they act as ice)
    Champagne

Add equal amounts of peach juice and champagne into a beverage server. Add 1/2 bag of peaches to keep drink chilled and keep other 1/2 bag as a garnish. Allow guest to server themselves. For additional color you can add grenadine to the mix.

  26. My favorite drink is a pineapple upside martini.
    1 part vanilla vodka
    1 part amaretto
    1 part Pineapple juice

  27. I’m Brazilian, so I love Caipirinhas!

    Recipe (one serving):
    1 limes
    1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 cup cachaca (in a pinch you can substitute for 1/2 cup vodka)
    ice cubes

    Directions:
Cut the lime in quarters then cut them crosswise.
Put lime and sugar in a tall glass and mash with a pestle (or a wood spoon).
Add the cachaça on the lime juice and stirr.
    Add ice and stirr again.

Great thing about this recipe, is that you can increase the ingredients to your liking (ie – extra sugar for sweeter taste).

    Enjoy!

  31. My favorite mocktail is

    Can of frozen pink lemonade
    1 package whole frozen strawberries
    I 2-liter of squirt

So yummy tastes like the strawberry lemonade from red robin

  32. Sierra Mist has a FB “like”…excited to see what mocktails I can make for the kids this New Years.

  33. I’m an old diehard fan of the frozen daiquiri. My current recipe is to open the freezer, remove a bag and pour into a nice chilled glass.

  34. I love mint mojitos, mocktail version. I have fresh mint in my yard so it is fun. Another version of that (don’t know if there is an alcohol that would go with it or not) is lemonade with basil leaves. YUM.

  35. Love a cosmo, mojito and margaritas, I could drink a gallon of my skinny margaritas in the summer and oh so easy! I use great value brand sugar free Margarita flavored drink mix, Makes a 2 qt pitcher. Fill to almost full (Less 2 cups) Add one cup tequila and 1/2 cup triple sec. Serve over ice. I also do this with the peach tea, heaven!

  36. we love orange julius around here:

6 oz. frozen orange juice concentrate
    1 cup milk
    1 cup water
1/2 cup sugar (or 1/4 cup granulated + 1/4 cup powdered)
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    8-9 ice cubes
    1. Combine all ingredients except ice cubes in blender.
    2. Blend for about 1-2 minutes, adding ice cubes one at a time.

  37. There aren’t too many cocktails I don’t love. My classic cosmo is probably the most effortless. It was taught to me by a dear friend and bartender in Manhattan years ago.

    2 parts cranberry juice
2 parts vodka (absolut apeach or raspberry work great for added flavor)
    1 part grand marnier
    1/4 part rose’s lime juice.
Shake it up with ice until it’s super cold, the perfect shade of pink and then strain every last drop into a martini glass. This works great as a huge batch in a pitcher too.

  38. If I am actually making real cocktails…bring on the Cosmos:) But that is rare so I usually am drinking vodka mixed with Sierra most or *gasp* one of their competitors:) Whoever is cheapest that week!

  39. My favorite drink is called a Shandy. Mix half a can of Diet Sierra Mist with half of a light colored beer, such as Corona or even a Bud Light will do. It’s refreshing and great for summer! Thanks for the great giveaway!
