Setting up a epic charcuterie board table takes very little thought and looks absolutely incredible!
Grazing Table Dinner
After a day of wine tasting and shopping in Sonoma, we were definitely not in the mood to cook dinner. It was a grazing table kind of evening.
With the help of Dorothy from Crazy for Crust, I planned a night of fun (click here to see the –> Witch’s Night Out Halloween Party) and that’s how this epic charcuterie board was born!
I sure wish we were back there right now. See more photos of our fun girls trip –> here.
Tips for Making Your Charcuterie Board Table
If you want to throw a simple dinner party, don’t worry about spending a lot of time buying all of the food. Ask friends to bring something to add to your epic charcuterie board. Designate each guest with a certain type of food.
What you’ll need for a Epic Charcuterie Board
- Crackers
- Bread
- Cheese
- Meats such as pepperoni, salami and other dried meats you can leave out on a table for a while.
- Fruit
- Vegetables
- Nuts
- Dips (try my Dill Pickle Dip or Homemade Tzatziki Recipe)
- Cookies
Decor for a Charcuterie Board Table
Don’t forget fresh herbs for decorations. We had some parsley, mint and rosemary that looked and smelled amazing on our table.
You’ll also want cutting boards, small bowls or dishes and a few pretty platters to add some dimension and height.
Charcuterie Board Grazing Table Prep
Before guests arrive: You’ll want to have a large table or kitchen counter ready for the food. Cover your grazing table area with a large sheet of kraft paper.
Pile it high: Now you’re ready to pile it high with your bread, crackers, meats, fruits, nuts, dips and cheeses. This is so easy and will make an amazing party presentation!
Displaying the food: There is no right or wrong way to display your food on a grazing table. I do recommend starting with the largest items like a cutting board with a loaf of bread. Add the largest items first, then work your way around those items filling in the space on the table.

Make It a Holiday Board
For Halloween, Thanksgiving or Christmas you could add your holiday themed desserts throughout the fruits and cheeses, then watch everyone smile as they walk in the room to see your amazing spread!
Halloween Chocolate Toffee or this Snowman Cheese Ball would be adorable on a holiday themed charcuterie board.
