The Jolly Roger Pirate Encounter is a fun kid friendly cruise port excursion on Grand Cayman Island.
Kids will love this fun Pirate Encounter!
We visited some amazing places on our Carnival Cruise! I love taking family vacations and always take WAY too many photos, so it’s taking me a while to go through them all. For now, I thought you would enjoy this video from our Pirate Encounter on the Jolly Roger Ship in Grand Cayman.
This kid friendly cruise ship excursion was a blast for the whole family! The pirates were hilarious and our kids really enjoyed the silliness. We even had a canon fight with our huge cruise ship! I thought it was super entertaining and way more fun than sitting on the beach. I’m really glad we went on this fantastic pirate encounter.
My favorite part of this pirate encounter was when the kids had to scrub the deck:-) If you have adventurous kids, they will love jumping off the boat into the beautiful water. Even though everyone had on lifejackets, my oldest was too chicken to jump! I did get my daughter in the water with me though. At least I have one adventurous kid!
Watch out parents… they choose one of us to tie up and torture!! ha. I think my kids will be talking about this for a long time!

My sister and I did the same pirate encounter last week. We were also on a Carnival cruise. It was very entertaining and all of the kids who were on the ship loved it. On our trip a mother and father were tied up and had water poured on them for the same transgressions. The pirates were awesome with the kids. A lot of the people on board also enjoyed the swimming and jumping off the plank. Out of curiosity I asked, and they are all certified divers.
Can tell all of you had a blast from these pics !!! Cant wait to hear or read about your trip!!
Hi Amy:
Glad you had a great time in Grand Cayman. We spend about 4-5 months of the year there, and love the island and the people. It’s safe and clean, and has great activities for the kids – as you experienced. Hopefully you can go back sometime and spend a few days – the kids will love the Stingray City sandbar experience!
Regards,
Jane Warren
