Did a similar frankenstein face last year with duct tape. It left sticky residue on the door and fell off every time the door was slammed. I think residue would easily come off with goo gone. I am looking for an alternative this year that might be stronger than tape….

  2. I did the “monster” one the other day and just love it. Instead of using crepe paper I found some good deals on some scrap halloween fabric. I mix-matched the fabric so it looks kind of like a “wild” hair style. I am little wild like that and like doing different things. Thanks sooo much for the idea and the instructions were spot on. I have one of the coolest doors on the block for Halloween!!

  3. It was fine on my door, no problems. There are a lot of nice tapes out since I did this. Not as sticky and fun colors.

  4. Wanna try this but I’m a little nervous about the duct tape on my front door. Anyone know how well that comes off?

  9. Came over from The RHOK to check you out and ended up with a great idea! Thanks!

Quick question: Did you have any trouble with the duct tape taking off the finish of your door? Mine is painted, and I worry about that.

  11. Very, very cute and easy but will it hold up in the rain? It always rains here on Halloween and the weeks before. Any suggestions?

  15. I love it! I am totally going to do the spider web one. I just finished decorating my apartment for Halloween this weekend, and I’m going the spooky route rather than the cute pumpkin route. Great idea–thank you!
