This weekend I took my son to see Divergent. We are big fans of the book by Veronica Roth and enjoyed a mom and son movie night.
I had heard the movie was good, but now I can say first hand that it was definitely better than good… I LOVED it! After the movie was over, I got a big hug from my son thanking me for taking him to see such a cool movie. I scored some major mom points that night!
In honor of all Divergent fans out there like my son and me, I designed some party printables to help make planning a cool Divergent Party a blast!
These Divergent Party Ideas and printables would be great for a birthday party, movie watching party, or a book club. The designs are totally FREE too! Plus the invitation comes with editable text fields so you can type your own party details before printing.
After reading the book Divergent by Veronica Roth, I was hooked! It’s the first book in a series meant for young readers, and perfect for my 11 year old son. I really love the story line about how you should be brave, be yourself and not afraid to be who you really are.
Amazon’s description of the book…
In Beatrice Prior’s dystopian Chicago world, society is divided into five factions, each dedicated to the cultivation of a particular virtue—Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent). On an appointed day of every year, all sixteen-year-olds must select the faction to which they will devote the rest of their lives. For Beatrice, the decision is between staying with her family and being who she really is—she can’t have both. So she makes a choice that surprises everyone, including herself.
After watching the movie, we came home and took the on the movie website to see what faction we would fit into best. I was mostly Dauntless and Candor, but after seeing the movie… I really doubt I could be Dauntless. I would chicken out after a few days. LOL
Although, I do like the fact that they had great chocolate cake, which would be perfect to serve at a Divergent Party!
Along with the usual party tags and invitation, I designed some fun party signs to frame.
You could frame these 5 x 7 printable Divergent signs for a party table or your bedroom wall. I have the black one framed in my new studio to remind me that I’m in control of my life, I just need to be brave.
I couldn’t resist buying a movie poster and it was the perfect backdrop for my party table! Yep, I’m an official Divergent fan:-)
Are you a fan too? If so, I hope you enjoy these Free Party Printables and please share your party photos on my Facebook Page or tag me on Instagram if you use them. Thanks so much!!
