I am proud to be a creative entrepreneur. We think differently than the typical business entrepreneur. Wikipedia sums it up great with this statement:
Essentially, creative entrepreneurs are investors in talent – their own and/or other people’s.
If you don’t already know, I am a co-founder of a great photography community called I Heart Faces. This weekend, I had the pleasure of seeing my dreams and hard work come to reality when we hosted the first annual I Heart Faces Photography Conference in Dallas at Southfork Ranch.
It was an amazing day with around 200 women and a few men. We laughed, cried and best of all learned a lot!
{Sue Bryce at her key note speech.}
I got to meet people I admire, people I have only talked to online and people I hadn’t seen in years. I got to be a part of something BIG that will be in a person’s memories forever. I got to help encourage others to realize they can dream big and do anything they set their minds to.
The conference was definitely a day of investing in other’s talents as we brought in the most amazing teachers and speakers to learn from and enjoy.
So now you know why I have been missing in action from Living Locurto since last week!
Those of you who have been reading this blog for a while and know me, I hope you will click over to I Heart Faces and see a little snippet of what happened and what it meant to my partner, Angie and me. I will do a more detailed re-cap later this week over there for those of you interested in photography and marketing your business.
I wrote this today to encourage you to step outside of your box and dream big.
I did. Even though I went with no sleep for weeks and about threw up the morning of the conference because of nerves… I did it!
***Thanks to everyone who supported me and I Heart Faces through this time. I have some wonderful friends and family. Love to you all!***
And of course, I had to throw a party for the speakers and friends who helped me!
This is what happens at a VIP Party when a bunch of creative people get together…
Thanks to A Cool Studio for the great time!
