Easy Apple Cider Fall Sangria
We’re finally getting some nice autumn weather, so I whipped up a new recipe for Apple Cider Fall Sangria. When you’re needing a new cocktail, I think you’ll love this simple fall sangria!
This easy drink recipe is perfect for Halloween, Thanksgiving or anytime of the year. Made with apple cider, white wine, honey whiskey, apples, pears and cinnamon, it’s one of my new favorite fall drinks!

How to Make Fall Sangria
I love making sangria, because it looks amazing in a pitcher and super easy! Once you’ve chopped up your fruit. In this recipe I used red and green apples, pears and a few cinnamon sticks. You could also add plums or oranges.
Next, pour the entire bottle of white wine into the pitcher, add the apple cider, whiskey and stir. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let the fruit flavors mix with the wine.
What Kind of Wine is Best for Fall Sangria?
Because my fall sangria recipe contains apple cider, it’s already naturally sweet. When choosing a wine that contains such a sweet cider, I recommend using a crisp dry white wine such as Sauvignon Blanc.
This white wine will offer aromas of herbs and hints of floral and fruit flavors, but not as sweet as other whites. The primary fruit flavors of Sauvignon Blanc are lime, green apple, passion fruit and white peach. These are the perfect blend with the rest of the sangria ingredients!
You can also use canned wine. Check out these 6 best canned wines to find the best white wine in a can.
Can I Add Booze To Sangria?
That would be a yes! I always add a little booze to my sangria recipes. For this recipe, I used Honey Whiskey. I love Jack Daniel’s Honey Whiskey. It’s very smooth and doesn’t taste strong like a normal whiskey, so I knew it would be perfect for fall sangria.
To give this cocktail a hint of caramel apple taste, I added caramel vodka. This ingredient is totally optional. I will say, caramel apple vodka is super sweet. You don’t need much of it, otherwise this sangria would be way too sweet.
Will It Taste Strong With Whiskey?
My taste testers, who normally don’t drink whiskey, said this sangria had no alcohol taste what so ever. They loved it! If it tastes too strong after you mix all the ingredients, add a little more apple cider.
Serve this sangria cold and make sure to add pieces of fruit into each glass. You can also garnish with a cinnamon stick.
