Easy Scarecrow Veggie Tray and Vegetable Dill Dip Recipe

Each year for Thanksgiving, I love to come up with a new idea for a vegetable tray. Last year, I made a fun scarecrow veggie tray with dill dip, which was a big hit with the kids. It’s hard to beat my turkey vegetable tray, but I thought it turned out pretty cute!

This easy scarecrow vegetable tray idea could be used for any fall gathering or after school snack! I used Wheat Thins for a hat, filled a bowl with dill dip, then created straw hair from carrots, yellow peppers and celery.

You could do all kinds of cute scarecrow faces. I made it easy with cucumbers for eyes and yellow pepper for a mouth, but any type of vegetable would do!

This veggie dip is my go to recipe for vegetable dips! It’s very easy. I made it up after hiring a caterer to bring food to an event that I hosted. I was drooling over the dip they brought to my party and later recreated it for my blog. This is what came from my recreation of the delicious veggie dip. I hope you like it as much as we do in our home!

  1. I made this recipe minus the onion. We thought it was perfect. We aren’t into the onion stuff. I am saving this for every time I want veggie dip, which I eat a lot of time while watching TV in the evenings. Thank you so much for the great recipe.
