This week at I Heart Faces the photo challenge theme is Winter Wonderland.

It’s hard to believe, but we actually DID have a winter wonderland here in Dallas last week. Of course, I forgot to take my camera outside! I did take this goofy photo inside after warming up with some hot cocoa. Hey… there is snow in the background… that counts right? ha.

Christmas DIY Craft – Winter Wreath

I’m so excited to show you a beautiful DIY craft that I created for Disney’s Family.com! This wreath is probably one of my favorite crafts to date… and Disney even made a video of how to make it! How cool is that??!

This pretty winter wreath is super easy to make and you probably have most of the items in your home or stashed in holiday boxes. I used items like coffee filters, silver cupcake liners, and old plastic ornaments.

They used colorful ornaments, but I prefer the all white and silver for a look that could last past Christmas. I’m so excited to see one of my creations turned into a nice video like this. YAY!

Snow Day in Texas

I bring you a delay in normal posting because we woke up to this today…

I’m amazed by all this snow and have been snapping photos all morning. This is a big deal for us Texans!! We can actually make a real snowman. WOW!

I’m off to dig in drawers and the backs of closets to find some winter clothes because today we’ll have the biggest snowball fight ever!

Besides the snow, I had another shock this week when I clicked here. I admire this girl so much and am truly honored to be included with so many wonderful web sites. Thanks Ree!!!! Oh and if you need a big belly laugh today, just read this and you’ll get it.

I Heart Faces – My Best Photo

WOW! It’s been a year since Angie and I launched I Heart Faces!! We are celebrating BIG time this week a brand new look (I did the design on a crazy coffee driven creative whim!), 18 spectacular judges and a super giveaway EVERYDAY!!!

We are beyond thrilled that so many people are inspired by and enjoy our web site. It’s been amazing getting to know and collaborate with so many wonderful people! Heck, I’ve even become a half-way decent photographer without having to use Photoshop to fix my mistakes. Now that’s progress!

Our theme this week is “Best Face Photo” and the photo you enter has to have been taken in December ’09 or January ’10.

I recently visited my brother and sister-in-law in Boston where there was snow and lots of it! That’s exciting since we don’t see much of it in Texas. Most good photos I captured were in the snow, but my all time favorite face was not of our kids, but of their new puppy Daisy. Here she was waiting patiently outside for someone to let her in. Her ears would perk up when I said her name… what a cute (and very spoiled, I might add) model!
