Ever have one of those crazy Mondays? Well, this week I did!!

My 4 year old daughter wanted to cut. I said sure and printed a preschool activity to practice cutting. She was excited to cut out a kitty world.

Minutes later I guess there was nothing left to cut… but her hair.

She cut her long, gorgeous curly hair.

Clear up to her chin and around behind her ears.

Which she then stuffed in the pocket of her brother’s chair so I wouldn’t find it.

I found it.

She is supposed to be a model at the I Heart Faces Photography Workshop next weekend.

My little girl now has a mullet. “All business in the front and a party in the back!” I love the 80′s but that’s the one thing I could do without making a comeback. Luckily her hair is curly and thick so the mullet seems to blend in pretty well. Enough that nobody notices it right away. I want it long for the photo shoot so my hair stylist said to wait until afterwards to cut it. He thinks it will grow back curly again too. Whew! We’ll pretend she has normal hair by pulling the front half back. I’ll show you before and after photos when we get it cut.

For now, I hid ALL of the scissors.

Yesterday she took something sharp and scratched up the wood on my fancy coffee table.

Does anyone have a leash I can borrow?!

I wrote about this when I first started blogging this summer. This is one of my favorite photos of my son, so I thought it would be good to re-post for week 2 of I ? Faces.

I just started cutting my kiddo’s hair myself. I must say, I’ve been doing a pretty great job up until today! Okay, here is the front… Looks good huh? He’s so cute, I LOVE this photo of him. This is his natural smile which I hardly ever catch on camera.

Now, here is the back.

Whoops!!! See the strip of baldness? I wasn’t thinking and forgot to put the little shield on the clippers and buzzed a line up his head! I freaked out at first, but after cutting the rest, it turned out okay. I’m sure by next week, it will have grown out. At least he doesn’t seem to care. He likes to feel it, thinks it’s cool. Maybe I should do another strip on the other side and it will look like I meant to do it? ha!

Ever since my first trip to Europe in the late 90′s, I have been in love with Greek food! We were in Amsterdam, of all places, where all we ate was Greek! ha. The feta, the olives, the spinach. I don’t know how to pronounce all the things I love, but they are so tasty. So, I’m very excited to celebrate my birthday at the local Greekfest this weekend. The food is a plenty, let me tell ya!

Besides all the food, you get to experience some of the Greek culture. Cooking instructions, music and kids from Greek school doing their dances. Scenes right out of one of my favorite movies! 

I’ll also be getting out the Halloween decorations. Fun! As you probably noticed, my web site design has changed for the season. Download my free scrapbook kit to create your own Halloween header!
