It’s the Holiday season and I’m very excited to be featured in the latest issue of Holiday with Matthew Mead!

So when you’re at the grocery store or favorite craft store, look for it in the isles. I haven’t seen it here in Dallas yet, but was sent a few copies. I can honestly say, it’s one of the best Holiday magazines I’ve ever seen. Definitely an issue you will keep on the shelves for years to come.

There are so many wonderful DIY ideas including decorating ideas, recipes, parties and more! It’s an honor to be featured among so many wonderful designers and bloggers.

Matthew asked me to come up with gift giving ideas and tags. Using items from around my house like newspapers, duct tape, jars and paper bags, I came up with these pretty black, red and white designs.

Holiday with Matthew Mead – News

I’m very excited to announce that you’ll see me and my designs in a magazine this fall!

I am a contributor to the 2011 issue of Holiday with Matthew Mead. HOLIDAY 2011 will be in stores at the end of October throughout North America and Canada!

Matthew describes it as: “A super-sized issue with lots of colorful projects that will make your holiday season filled with the best decor, gift ideas, and delicious foods to make every moment of the season special.”

When Matthew contacted me about contributing, I was beyond excited!

He was actually going to fly to my house to help me and take all of the photos for the magazine. Well, as much as I would LOVE to meet him, that freaked me out because I’ve been traveling constantly this summer and my house is a major wreck. I couldn’t imagine someone as amazing as Matthew seeing my cobwebs! ha. Well, I could just clean it, but that would take too long, plus I have to leave town again and he had a deadline. So lucky for me, he agreed to let me take my own photos! So bonus… I not only get my designs published, but my photography as well. (no pressure right??)

I got to see some sample spreads of the magazine and believe me, it’s going to be AMAZING! The ideas and photos are absolutely gorgeous. The pressure was on to do something fabulous for sure.

So this weekend I spent 2 days designing, painting, styling and photographing gift and decor ideas for Christmas. It was such a fun time and definitely where my passion lies! I started my career with Fossil where I designed and styled their catalog. This brought back memories of those shoots, but it sure was a LOT more fun doing it with my own products. I think you’ll see more large shoots like this from me again soon. YES, it was that much fun! Enjoy these sneak peaks. I can’t wait to show you everything!!

iPhone Valentine – Free Printable

I’m so excited about my latest Free Printable Valentine!! I seriously had to pry these out of my children’s hands to take photos. Your kids will love them also for Valentine’s Day!

I got this fun idea when my daughter was using my new iPhone packaging as a play phone. I love my iPhone, so making cute icons for these valentines were so much fun!

Just print, cut and wrap around a box of Brach’s Candy Hearts. Attach by using double stick tape or a glue stick.

**Please print a test page to make sure this design works with your candy boxes before printing numerous copies. As the candy packaging changes each year, some candy packages might not be the correct size for this file. I found a box of 8 candy heart boxes for around $3 at my local craft store.
